Contribute to building the homeland

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc An (right cover, Nhon Thanh Trung commune, Tan An city) spent time meeting with women's union members to learn about their thoughts and aspirations.

A few months ago, Ong Ba Dong concrete road was inaugurated and put into use. This road is about 400m long, 4m wide, with a total cost of over 900 million VND. It is one of the projects that demonstrates the joint efforts and consensus of the State and the People in the hamlet.

In 2024, when the Tan An City People's Committee approved the investment policy , Ms. An actively coordinated with the locality to mobilize people to donate land for road construction. Not only Ong Ba Dong Street, in the past, she also mobilized members and women (HVPN) to plant and take care of flowers on Tran Cong Oanh Street, the section passing through Nhon Tri 2 Hamlet with a length of nearly 1km. The flower road attracts passersby with the bright yellow color of the yellow trumpet flowers.

Not only that, as the Head of the Women's Association of Nhon Tri 2 Hamlet, through many practical actions, Ms. An cares about and looks after the lives of HVPN, especially those in difficult circumstances. And that is demonstrated through the model of a revolving capital contribution support group with 30 participating members. Every month, each member contributes 500,000 VND, then the group will draw lots, and HVPN cases in difficulty will be given priority. Thanks to that timely support, for many years, Nhon Tri 2 Hamlet no longer has a case of HVPN being classified as poor households.

Ms. An shared: “I like to participate in the movement because I get to meet, exchange and contribute a small part to help those with difficult and unfortunate lives. I will continue my work until my health no longer allows it.”

Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Nhon Thanh Trung Commune - Nguyen To Trinh said that Ms. An has been involved in the work of the Union and the Women's Movement for more than 20 years, including many years as the Head of the Women's Union of Nhon Tri 2 Hamlet. Working without salary and with low benefits, Ms. An has always devoted herself to her homeland with all her enthusiasm and dedication. Among them, the most prominent activities are caring for the poor, especially the lonely and sick women. Every year, she has a plan to help these people, sharing some of the difficulties in life./.
