According to the investor representative, Uppingham Vietnam International School is the first school that Uppingham has invested in Asia. The project has an investment of about 2 trillion VND on an area of 6.7 hectares in Long Hung commune (Bien Hoa city) with a scale of 1.9 thousand students in the first phase; the first course is expected to open in the 2027-2028 school year.

According to the British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Alexandra Smith, education has always been a priority in cooperation between the UK and Vietnam. With the development orientations and goals set by Dong Nai province, this is a very suitable time for international education investment cooperation. Ms. Alexandra Smith believes that the Uppingham Vietnam International School project implemented in Dong Nai will contribute to attracting FDI because foreign businesses and experts can rest assured about the place where their children study.
The British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City hopes that the People's Committee of Dong Nai province will support project partners to complete the necessary conditions for the project to be quickly implemented.

According to VCAM Council Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phuong, every year, at the lower-university level alone, there are about 20,000 cases of Vietnamese parents sending their children to the UK for boarding school. This is one of the reasons why VCAM wants to invest in a modern, advanced international education model in Vietnam to contribute to the development of Vietnam's education and meet the needs of parents.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong believes that if supported, this project will contribute practically to socio-economic development, especially providing high-quality human resources for Dong Nai province; at the same time diversifying the choice of educational environment in Vietnam.

This project is in line with the investment calling policy of Dong Nai province and the Provincial Planning approved by the Government. Dong Nai province acknowledges and highly appreciates this project, and at the same time, it said that it will direct departments, branches and localities to coordinate in implementing the tasks according to their functions and tasks to support the project to be implemented on schedule and ensure quality.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc also hopes that the British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Alexandra Smith will continue to support connections and promote cooperation between Dong Nai and UK businesses.
