At the golf tour launch, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, VTGA, tourism businesses (Vietravel, Saco Travel, Vina Travel), Tan Son Nhat golf course... signed a cooperation agreement between the parties to develop golf tourism in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that the city is one of the bustling economic and cultural centers of the country, with a modern, international-class golf course system, so it is fully capable of attracting visitors.
Unlike traditional tourism, golf tourists often come and return many times, willing to pay high prices for high-class hotel and restaurant services. Therefore, developing golf tourism not only helps diversify products, improve tourism competitiveness but also attracts high-spending, long-stay customers.
According to VTGA, our country has about 100,000 golfers, 100 golf courses in operation, of which 32 courses meet international 5-star standards...
In 2021, Vietnam was selected as the world's best golf destination by the World Golf Awards. This is the second year Vietnam has been honored as the world's best golf destination (2019, 2021) and the 5th consecutive year as the best golf destination in Asia since 2017.
