Being propagated and implementing the Campaign to change thinking and working methods by all levels, Mr. A Jokh in village 10, Dak To Re commune has been an exemplary leader in converting 01ha of faded cassava to growing fruit trees. In addition, his family also has 6 hectares of rubber in business. In 2024 alone, 6 hectares of rubber brought in over 300 million VND in revenue for his family. Mr. A Jokh said: “ My family used to have a lot of difficulties, and was able to borrow capital from the policy bank to grow valuable trees such as rubber. A few years ago, my family was propagandized to change thinking and working methods, the family converted the area of ​​faded cassava to growing fruit trees, and the family has a stable income.”

To help people change their thinking and way of doing things, Kon Ray district has built a model of "Model Garden House" for Mr. A Minh's family in village 4, Dak To Lung commune. Through the model, the family has gradually changed their way of working and producing, boldly converting the structure of crops and livestock appropriately; knowing how to apply science and technology to production, creating income for the family, stabilizing life. Mr. A Minh said: " Thanks to the support of the District People's Committee, my family renovated the garden, built a green - clean - beautiful model at home. Now my family has renovated the model garden around the house with a fence and gate, planting trees with stable income."

After 4 years of implementing the Campaign, Kon Ray district has built more than 130 models, of which 99 effective models continue to be maintained, expanded, and replicated; the total cost of implementing the models is more than 6 billion VND. Linking the Campaign with the implementation of Directive No. 13 of the Provincial Party Committee on "strengthening leadership, propaganda, and mobilizing people to eliminate bad customs and practices that are no longer suitable in the province", the district has eliminated 7 bad customs and 8 customs that are no longer suitable; there has been no incestuous marriage and no emergence of other bad customs and practices that are no longer suitable. Ms. Dinh Thi My Hao - Standing Deputy Secretary of Kon Ray District Party Committee, said: “ People have changed their awareness, no longer expecting or relying on the support and assistance of the State; eliminating unsuitable customs and practices; building a civilized lifestyle. Many households have known how to organize labor and production reasonably, apply science and technology to production, convert appropriate crop and livestock structures; know how to spend reasonably, effectively use legal support sources from the State and society to invest in economic development.”

Up to now, Kon Ray district has helped more than 1,800 ethnic minority households escape poverty; nearly 1,240 ethnic minority households escape near-poverty; more than 1,100 poor and near-poor ethnic minority households change their thinking and gradually abandon bad customs; over 900 poor and near-poor ethnic minority households know how to apply science and technology to production... By the end of 2024, the district will have 15 villages and hamlets meeting new rural standards in ethnic minority areas. Thereby, contributing to raising the average income per capita in the district to over 41 million VND/.
