In the "Fund for Change" round of YSE Global 2023 (November), teams will present their completed business plans for a chance to receive funding of up to 20,000 SGU per project. One of the 15 outstanding teams is the social enterprise tMonitor (Vietnam) of Ms. Bui My Huyen and Mr. Vu Hai Nam. The technology startup tMonitor aims to provide real-time monitoring software and air quality analysis using artificial intelligence. tMonitor's software can also be integrated into a smart system with other home devices. Mr. Vu Hai Nam, founder and CEO of tMonitor, said that the goal is to improve indoor air quality and reduce the risk of fire and toxic gases. "The YSE journey has brought me many valuable experiences. I not only acquired practical knowledge and skills through training sessions, but also had the opportunity to connect with outstanding young entrepreneurs in the field of social enterprises. I appreciate the opportunity to gain insights from different perspectives, because each market has different stories, but they all face similar challenges and problems," Nam shared. In YSE Global 2023, business ideas are all aimed at contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) such as addressing climate change, promoting inclusive and equitable quality education for all, and leveraging technology to empower underserved communities. “The SIF seeks to pave the way for young change-makers to turn their social business ideas into reality, enriching lives. Through the Global Young Social Entrepreneurs Programme, they have the opportunity to learn from each other, collaborate and build a social impact network,” said Amalina Abdul Nasir, Governor of the SIF.
