On the morning of December 3, a representative of the Information and Communications Department of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Ho Chi Minh City said that the VBS and the International Committee for the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak in Vietnam (ICDV) have agreed to choose the official logo for the festival, an international event scheduled to take place from May 6 to 9, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The symbol is built on the main message of the festival, Buddhism and nation, carrying elements of Vietnamese identity, location and time of organization, expressed through images of lotus flowers, cranes, motifs on Dong Son bronze drums...

According to Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice President and General Secretary of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Vice President and General Secretary of the ICDV, after consideration, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has unanimously agreed to approve the logo of the grand ceremony.
Previously, the Church also launched a logo design contest for the 4th United Nations Vesak Festival held in Vietnam and the first time held in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
The organizing committee has judged and awarded prizes according to regulations, however, the winning works, including the first prize, are not necessarily chosen as the logo for the ceremony.

On September 30, the Church issued an official dispatch announcing the main theme of the ceremony as Unity and Inclusivity for Human Dignity: Buddhist Insights for World Peace and Sustainable Development.
Along with that are 5 sub-themes, including Nurturing inner peace for world peace, Forgiveness and healing with mindfulness: The path of reconciliation, Buddhist compassion in action: Shared responsibility for human development, Mindfulness in education for a compassionate and sustainable future, Promoting solidarity: Collaborative efforts for global harmony.
