BaDen Mountain Marathon 2023 attracts 7,000 athletes
With a large scale and professional organization, BaDen Mountain Marathon 2023 is considered the leading sports festival in the Southern region, attracting up to 7,000 athletes to participate, including both professional runners and amateur athletes, conquering 4 distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km.
Thanh Vu - the first Asian female athlete to run through the four wildest and harshest deserts in the world, and Trong Nhon - a native of Binh Dinh who has won many running awards at home and abroad, especially in off-road races, continue to be chosen as the two ambassadors of this year's race.

After the opening ceremony on the afternoon of April 22 with many exciting activities such as art performances, exchanges with ambassadors Thanh Vu and Trong Nhon and guests, the marathon officially took place in the early morning of April 23, with the earliest starting time for the 42km distance.
True to the message "Legendary Run", the BaDen Mountain Marathon 2023 is not simply a race of speed and endurance, but also a journey to explore the legendary destinations of Tay Ninh land.
Coming to the race, athletes have the opportunity to overcome the picturesque route connecting famous landmarks in the holy land of Tay Ninh such as Ba Den Mountain, the Holy See and pristine destinations such as Ma Thien Lanh, Nui Da Lake, vast rubber forests or green rice fields in the middle of the fertile plains.

The focal point of this race is Ba Den Mountain - the mountain known as the "roof of the South" at an altitude of 986m with poetic green patches and a majestic spiritual complex.
Ba Den Mountain is known as the most sacred mountain in the Southern region, and is also a symbol in the religious life of the people here with the 300-year-old Ba Pagoda and the tallest statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son in Asia located on the top of the mountain.

Participating in the race, many athletes and fans have the opportunity to admire and enjoy the beauty of the spiritual complex on top of Ba Mountain at night, with a modern artistic lighting system created from more than 3,500 LED lights, more than 480 floor lights creating Buddhist symbols such as the swastika, lotus flower...
The cool air with the temperature on the mountain top 10 degrees lower than the city also helped the athletes cool down on hot days and have impressive experiences on the sacred peak of the South.
First launched in 2021, the BaDen Mountain Marathon has inspired the community about mass sports and become the largest sports tourism event in Tay Ninh province. In 2023, the race aims to honor and promote a beautiful, youthful Tay Ninh that is reaching out to seize new opportunities after the pandemic.
