During the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty in 2025, the number of passengers passing through Ca Mau Airport increased compared to the same period in 2024.
On February 4, Mr. Pham Thanh Lam, Director of Ca Mau Airport, said that during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday in 2025 (from January 25 to February 2, 2025), the number of passengers passing through the port increased compared to the same period in 2024.
During the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty year 2025, the number of passengers passing through Ca Mau Airport increased.
Accordingly, Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) operates ATR72 aircraft on the Ca Mau - Ho Chi Minh City route and vice versa, with a frequency of 34 flights (an increase of 88% compared to the same period in 2024), with more than 1,700 passengers (an increase of 53.6% compared to the same period in 2024).
"Security and order at the port before, during and after Tet are guaranteed. The number of passengers traveling during Tet is higher than on normal days.
The port also proactively coordinates taxis with franchises to operate at the port, ensuring the clearance of passengers. Therefore, there is no congestion of passengers at the port during Tet," Mr. Lam added.
According to Mr. Lam, the number of passengers traveling before Tet is mainly from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau, which always reaches 100% of the seats because people return to their hometowns for Tet. After Tet, starting from February 2, the route from Ca Mau to Ho Chi Minh City reaches 100% of the seats, this is the time when people and students return to work and study.
In addition, the Aviation Service Company has continuously improved its apparatus, as well as enhanced the capacity of its staff and service quality at the port, in order to bring the best experience to passengers traveling by flight from Ca Mau to Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa.
Previously, in order to better serve the travel needs of passengers during the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025, the Aviation Service Company increased the number of flights from Ca Mau to Ho Chi Minh City to two flights per day compared to normal days, applied from January 25 to February 2, 2025.
