Airfare ceiling increase from today 1/3/2024.

According to the new regulations, the ceiling price on domestic flights is adjusted to increase by 5% compared to the previous level.

Flights with a distance of less than 500 km have a ceiling price of VND 1,600,000/ticket/way for socio-economic development routes and VND 1,700,000/ticket/way for other routes.

The remaining flight groups have increased prices from 50,000 - 250,000 VND/ticket/way compared to the old regulations, depending on the length of each flight.

For flights from 500 km to less than 850 km, the ceiling price is 2,250,000 VND/ticket/way; for flights from 850 km to less than 1,000 km, the maximum ticket price is 2,890,000 VND/ticket/way; for flights from 1,000 km to less than 1,280 km, the ceiling price is 3,400,000 VND/ticket/way and for flights from 1,280 km or more, the ceiling price is 4,000,000 VND/ticket/way.

The maximum price includes all costs that passengers must pay for an air ticket, excluding value added tax and fees collected on behalf of the airport (including passenger service fees and passenger and baggage security fees; service fees with additional items).

The price ceiling relaxation helps domestic airlines have more room to implement flexible fare policies, widen the range between fares, introduce more suitable programs and policies, and meet the needs of passengers traveling by air. At the same time, it creates conditions for people to have more choices with diverse products in terms of service quality according to their needs.
