World coffee prices
Early in the morning of November 8 (Vietnam time), on the London floor, the price of Robusta coffee futures for November 2024 delivery increased by 113 USD/ton, to 4,420 USD/ton. The price for January 2025 delivery increased by 98 USD/ton, to 4,346 USD/ton.
Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor for December 2024 delivery increased by 7.95 cents/lb, to 256.70 cents/lb, and for March 2025 delivery increased by 7.85 cents/lb, to 255.90 cents/lb.
Domestic coffee prices
Domestic coffee prices today fluctuated at 105,500 - 106,000 VND/kg, down sharply by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Specifically, in Di Linh, Lam Ha, Bao Loc districts (Lam Dong), today's coffee price is purchased at 105,500 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district (Dak Lak), the coffee price today is at 106,000 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district (Dak Lak), Buon Ho district (Dak Lak), the coffee price today is purchased at the same level of 105,900 VND/kg.
Similarly in Dak Nong province, today's coffee purchase price is at 106,000 VND/kg in Gia Nghia and 105,900 VND/kg in Dak R'lap.
In Gia Lai province, coffee price today is at 106,000 VND/kg (Chu Prong), in Pleiku and La Grai the price is 105,900 VND/kg.
Today's coffee price in Kon Tum province is purchased at 106,000 VND/kg.
World coffee prices fell slightly as the US dollar index rose to a four-month high, causing prices of most commodities, including coffee, to fall.
Accordingly, the USD skyrocketed in the last trading session, after Republican candidate Donald Trump declared victory in the US presidential election, with policies on immigration, tariffs and trade expected to boost growth in the US.
In addition, a report from the International Coffee Organization (ICO) showed that world coffee exports reached 10.76 million bags in September, a sharp increase of nearly 25% compared to 8.62 million bags in the same period last year.
At the end of the 2023-2024 crop year (October 2023 to September 2024), global coffee exports will total 137.27 million bags, up 11.7% from 122.92 million bags in the previous crop year.
Of which, Arabica coffee exports totaled 84.68 million bags compared to 73.51 million bags last year; while Robusta coffee exports reached 52.6 million bags compared to 49.41 million bags in the same period.
