"In previous years, offerings to the God of Wealth were simpler, with only sticky rice, chicken and eggs. But recently, many places have been offering trays of offerings that include crab and lobster, at a variety of prices for consumers to choose from. Therefore, I have also changed my habits, buying these trays and waiting for delivery at the right time for the ceremony, which is very convenient," said Ms. Xuan.

Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thu Trang (Ba Dinh, Hanoi), the owner of a dumpling and offering production facility, said that right after the Lunar New Year, many people had a need to order offerings for the God of Wealth's day or the full moon day of the first lunar month. Therefore, her facility still had to accept orders and work until almost the end of January.
"Each offering ceremony will have different characteristics. The offering tray for the God of Wealth will be smaller, have fewer items, and no greasy food, so the cost will be lower. At this time, people have just experienced Tet with lots of greasy meat dishes, so the trays with seafood are loved and chosen by many people," said Ms. Trang.
