World coffee prices

Early morning of December 16 (Vietnam time), on the London floor, the price of Robusta coffee for January 2025 delivery was at 5,209 USD/ton, unchanged from early morning yesterday. The price for March 2025 delivery also remained unchanged, trading at 5,184 USD/ton.

Meanwhile, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor for delivery in March 2025 was trading at 319 cents/lb, the same as yesterday. For delivery in May 2025, it was trading at 317 cents/lb, unchanged from a day ago.

Domestic coffee prices

Domestic coffee prices today also did not record any fluctuations, trading at 123,500 - 125,200 VND/kg.

Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is trading at 125,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday's trading session.

In Lam Dong, today's coffee price was purchased at 123,500 VND/kg, equal to the transaction price 1 day ago.

Today's coffee price in Gia Lai is trading at 125,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous trading session.

In Dak Nong, coffee prices today also did not record any fluctuations, trading at 125,200 VND/kg.

According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), Vietnam's processed coffee exports in the 2022-2023 crop year reached 89,941 tons, with a turnover of 511 million USD. This output accounts for 5.4% of total export volume (not converted to green coffee) but the value accounts for 12.5%. The average export price in this crop year is 5,676 USD/ton.

In the 2023-2024 crop year, export output will increase sharply by 42%, to 127,543 tons, accounting for 8.8% of total export volume, while value will contribute nearly 18%, thanks to the average export price increasing to 7,616 USD/ton.

In November alone, businesses exported 10,004 tons of processed coffee, with a turnover of over 100 million USD. Although output only accounted for 16.5%, export value accounted for 26.8% thanks to the export unit price reaching 10,025 USD/ton, the highest level ever.

These figures show the impressive growth of the Vietnamese processed coffee industry. At the same time, they reflect the great potential of the industry to improve its position in the international market.
