On the morning of August 18, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan attended the World Women's Football Conference which opened at the Sydney International Convention Center (Australia).
VFF President (right) met with senior officials of the German, Belgian and Dutch Football Federations.
Notably, Mr. Kenny Jean Marie, Head of FIFA Member Associations, said that FIFA will prioritize supporting 2 more VAR cars for Vietnamese football.
Currently, Vietnamese football has 2 VAR cars from VFF's self-mobilized capital.
Besides, FIFA will create conditions for VFF to complete procedures according to regulations, soon completing the VAR system in Vietnam.
This World Women's Football Conference takes place over two days, August 18 and 19, focusing on the following issues: The development of women's football, the social benefits of women's football as well as the positive impacts on the role of women in football.
On the sidelines of the Conference, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan met and discussed with President of the Belgian Football Federation Ms. Pascale Van Damme, President of the Dutch Football Federation Mr. Just Spee and Secretary General of the German Football Federation Ms. Heike Ullrich.
At the meeting, senior leaders of the three European Football Federations congratulated Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan on the progress of Vietnamese football in recent times.
Leaders of three national football federations said that although this was their first time qualifying for the World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team left a deep impression with their will and fighting spirit.
In addition, President of the German Football Federation, Ms. Heike Ullrich, also highly appreciated the performance of the Vietnamese women's team in the friendly match with Germany in June.
At the same time, Ms. Heike Ullrich hopes to welcome VFF President, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan at Euro 2024, when Germany is the host of this tournament.
Regarding the future direction of cooperation and development with Vietnamese football, the President of the Dutch and Belgian Football Federations and the General Secretary of the German Football Federation both expressed special interest in Vietnamese women's football.
The parties had practical exchanges, opening up opportunities for the development of cooperation between Vietnamese football and Belgian, German and Dutch football in the coming time.
