In recent times, the Provincial Cooperative Union has increased support for local cooperatives to develop commodity production, link production, promote digital transformation, and apply science and technology. Thereby, gradually improving the production and business capacity of cooperatives, promoting product consumption, especially agricultural products with potential and characteristics, promoting local socio-economic development.

The province currently has 603 cooperatives operating with a total of more than 107,802 members. With a core role in supporting members, the Provincial Cooperative Union has focused on mobilizing resources and implementing many solutions such as: Supporting the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances; assisting in understanding, understanding, and accessing the market for production and business units and cooperatives in the province; training and improving the capacity of cooperative officials and members, providing preferential loans from the Cooperative Development Support Fund, creating conditions for cooperatives to proactively keep up with the market, organize production plans, and develop business in the new situation.

Long Coc Safe Tea Production Cooperative, Long Coc Commune, Tan Son District is one of the cooperatives with products bearing strong local characteristics associated with production organization, forming large-scale concentrated production areas, ensuring product quality.

Ms. Pham Thi Hanh - Director of the Cooperative said: “With an area of ​​30 hectares, of which 12 hectares are VietGAP certified, linking production according to the cooperative model with households will ensure a stable source of input and output materials, and products sold to the market have clear origins through traceability. The processing capacity of the Cooperative reaches 50 tons of fresh tea buds/year or more, creating jobs for hundreds of local workers. The Cooperative has 3 products that have achieved 4-star OCOP certification: Bat Tien Tea, Dinh Dau San Tea, Dinh Bat Tien Tea. The Cooperative's products are known and ordered by customers in many localities inside and outside the province, bringing an increasingly stable source of income to members".

Not only is Long Coc Safe Tea Production Cooperative dynamic in the market mechanism, cooperatives in the province have changed their thinking and working methods, improved production efficiency, promoted joint ventures and associations, and ensured stable product output. Cooperatives are a suitable economic organization model, creating jobs and stable income for local workers, promoting the development of key products of each locality and the province. At the same time, cooperatives represent members to sign contracts with enterprises to consume products, organize production, and comply with technical processes according to enterprise orders to improve the quality of agricultural products.

Up to now, the whole province has 85 cooperatives implementing linkage activities in production and product consumption, 100 cooperatives applying advanced and high technology in production, 127 products of 82 cooperatives are evaluated and classified as meeting OCOP standards of 3 stars or higher, the value of goods from OCOP products has increased by 15 - 20%.

Among them, typical and unique products include: Hung Lo rice noodles, Thanh Nam tea, Long Coc tea, Da Hen tea, Lien Hoa Chi herbal tea, Thanh Lam herbal tea... Hung Lo rice noodles and Thanh Nam tea have been exported to Japan and Saudi Arabia. Cooperatives continue to strictly implement standards from quality to beautiful packaging so that OCOP products can increasingly gain a firm foothold in the domestic and international markets, creating more jobs and stable income for members.

In fact, from the strategy of diversifying goods and agricultural products according to market demand, many cooperatives have played a good role in promoting the formation of cooperative models producing according to value chains associated with local key products. However, to affirm their position, cooperatives need to continue to promote the advantages of quality agricultural raw material areas; stabilize and expand scale, and improve productivity. In particular, the application of digital transformation in management, operation and product consumption has brought many benefits to cooperatives in the province.

Actively transforming digitally

Currently, cooperatives in the fields of agriculture, industry, handicrafts, trade - services... have actively applied technology, digital transformation in production, operation and over 70% of cooperatives apply social networks to introduce and promote products. In 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Union will continue to preside over the implementation of the Scientific Project: Promoting the application of management systems and tools to improve productivity and quality in cooperatives in the province. The project has supported 14 cooperatives to build a quality productivity management system, apply science and technology transfer, and digital transformation. Cooperatives have accessed and transferred advances, science and technology, environmentally friendly high technology... creating a change in thinking about development, application of science, technology and innovation, contributing to improving productivity, quality, production and business efficiency of cooperatives.

Along with that, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized and coordinated 14 training courses for more than 1,200 trainees who are managers, members, and workers in cooperatives with key contents such as: Improving knowledge and skills in cooperative management; skills in propaganda, advertising, trade promotion, digital transformation, negotiation, connecting consumer markets; building collective brands, perfecting product packaging and labels...

In particular, increase support for cooperatives to introduce and promote products on the province's media; introduce connections and bring products of 40 cooperatives to participate in e-commerce trading floors; connect cooperatives with supermarkets, convenience stores, OCOP store systems in and outside the province to consume products; organize and support 56 cooperatives to participate in displaying and promoting 100 products at trade fairs in some provinces and cities in the country. Support the operation and maintenance of booths of 50 cooperatives with nearly 120 products and goods services on the Phu Tho province e-commerce trading floor: giaothuong.net.vn .

Creative in digital transformation, Lien Hoa Chi Production and Trading Cooperative - Tu Xa Commune, Lam Thao District is supported by functional sectors to build a brand; create scan codes, QR codes to trace information, product origin using applications and software. Along with brand building, thanks to digital applications, the cooperative has helped store records conveniently, safely, reduce paperwork, time, and human resources. In addition, applying digital transformation also creates transparency because customers can know the process from production to product processing... Through social networks, e-commerce platforms, the cooperative's health care products such as: Red Ginseng Lotus Leaf Tea, Gotu Kola Tea, Perilla Tea... have reached many customers, diverse consumption markets. In particular, the cooperative promotes payment through online platforms for more convenience for customers.

According to Ms. Vu Thi Minh Tam - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Cooperative Union, in the coming time, the Provincial Cooperative Union will continue to accompany cooperatives in the process of managing and operating the collective economic development, mobilizing resources to support cooperatives in the process of implementing transformation in accordance with market requirements. Support to improve cooperative management capacity, especially support and create conditions for cooperatives to proactively keep up with the market, organize production plans, develop key local products; promote internal resources for digital transformation, improve efficiency in the process of promoting, producing and trading, managing cooperatives, improving techniques, applying advances in processing and production, creating many quality products, meeting market demand.
