Of which, domestic visitors are estimated at nearly 158,000, mainly visitors from the province, visitors from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and neighboring provinces and cities such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang... Visitors traveling in the form of families, small groups, using personal vehicles, trains, planes combined with private rental vehicles account for a high proportion.
International visitors are estimated at over 4,700 arrivals, mainly from the UK, the Netherlands, the US, Germany, France, China, Canada, Taiwan, South Korea... The number of passenger transport vehicles by road and private cars also increased from both the North and the South.
In Quang Binh, during the Lunar New Year, the average room occupancy rate of tourist accommodation establishments in the province is estimated at 50%. Tourist accommodation establishments of 4 stars and above. Homestays and farmstays with beautiful landscapes, close to nature in Phong Nha town and Dong Hoi city have an average room occupancy rate of estimated at 90%.
Natural, cultural and historical tourist attractions that attract a large number of visitors at the beginning of the new year in Quang Binh include: Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Hoang Phuc Pagoda, Lieu Hanh Holy Mother Temple, Dai Giac Pagoda, Than Dinh Mountain, Ho Chi Minh Square, Quang Binh Museum, Bao Ninh Sea Square, General Vo Nguyen Giap's Tomb, General Vo Nguyen Giap Memorial House, community tourism attractions...
A representative of the Quang Binh Department of Tourism said that to meet the needs of tourists during the Lunar New Year, Dong Hoi Airport has expanded its operating hours to 24 hours, increasing the frequency of flights from 4 round trips/day to 7-9 round trips/day (an increase of 125% compared to normal). The Railway sector has added more auxiliary trains on the routes to meet the travel needs of passengers.
In addition, many tourist accommodation establishments have proactively organized activities to welcome the New Year such as organizing year-end parties, welcoming the New Year, giving gifts, and experiencing Tet preparation activities for guests staying at the establishments. Activities to welcome the Year of the Snake 2025 in localities across the province are organized in a variety of ways, with highlights such as: Fireworks display to welcome the New Year, "Welcome Spring of the Snake 2025" Art Zone, Folk Games of Bai Choi Festival at Ho Chi Minh Square, "Dong Hoi Welcomes Spring 2025" Art Zone at Bao Ninh Sea Square (Dong Hoi City).
In addition, the Spring Market (Bo Trach district), the 10th Town Sports Congress Program (2025 - 2026) associated with activities celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring (Ba Don town), the Spring Agricultural Market (Quang Ninh district)... are also activities that have attracted many domestic and foreign tourists to visit, experience and shop.
