According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the total number of visitors and tourists during the Lunar New Year 2024 will reach about 402,000, an increase of 37% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, international visitors reached nearly 177,000, mainly from Korea, Taiwan, Japan, India, Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore...), America, Australia... Total tourism revenue reached about 1,580 billion VND.

According to the Department of Tourism, during Tet, tourists are mainly individual guests, accounting for about 60 - 70%, concentrated on the 2nd to 5th days of Tet, staying in 4 - 5 star hotels and equivalent along the coast.
The number of tourists traveling on tours also increased compared to the New Year holiday due to the long holiday period, and tourists mainly travel in small groups (family, friends...).
Some tourist attractions welcomed a large number of visitors during this time, such as Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area (receiving more than 82,000 visitors, up 8%), Asia Park (receiving nearly 35,000 visitors, up 16%), Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic (receiving nearly 40,000 visitors, up 31%), Son Tra peninsula (receiving more than 70,000 visitors, up 57% over the same period in 2023).
Similarly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province said that from December 29 to the third day of the Lunar New Year 2024, the province welcomed about 50,000 visitors, an increase of 42% over the same period last year.

Of which, 800 were international visitors and 47,200 were domestic visitors. Accommodation establishments served about 12,000 visitors, with room occupancy reaching about 45%. Travel agencies served about 200 visitors, and tourist areas were estimated at 38,800 visitors.
Speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Phan Hoang Phuong, Deputy Director of Sung Clean Agriculture and Tourism Cooperative (the unit that implemented the "Going to the Windy Place" check-in point), said that every day there are nearly 500 visitors coming to visit and take photos at the "Going to the Windy Place" point.
"Along with planting flowers along the river, the cooperative also creates unique miniature landscapes such as water banks, bamboo windmills, bamboo bridges, bamboo huts and sheep pens for tourists to visit and take photos. Using bamboo as the main material helps the cooperative save costs and create a rustic scene on the banks of the Tra Khuc River to attract tourists," said Mr. Phuong.
