On the morning of March 29, Ms. Vu Hoang (living in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) said that she and her family were still shocked when recalling the aftershocks of the earthquake on the afternoon of March 28 in Thailand. She and her family are currently looking for another hotel in Bangkok (Thailand) because the wall of the hotel room where she stayed had cracks.
"Yesterday afternoon, when my two daughters and I were playing at the aquarium in Bangkok, an earthquake occurred. The ground and surroundings shook like we were at sea. At first, I thought the aquarium was doing some kind of program or effect. But then the children screamed in fear, and many other tourists and aquarium staff shouted for visitors to run to the emergency exit to the surface. When we got to the surface, we saw a "sea of people" pouring into the street. Everyone was panicking and didn't know what to do. The children were so scared, they cried. During the emergency, the loudspeaker was in Thai, while I could only hear English, so I was even more worried," Ms. Hoang recounted.

Immediately after that, Ms. Hoang's family tried to find their way back to the hotel, but the streets were jammed with people pouring out of high-rise buildings in Bangkok. It took her and her children 6 hours of crawling on the streets to get back to the hotel. The hotel where she was staying was only a short distance from the high-rise building where water from the swimming pool on this building was pouring down like a waterfall onto the streets of Bangkok due to the earthquake.
"When we got back to the hotel, we saw that the walls in the room were cracked and many of the walls and ceilings were broken due to the vibration. Many other guests checked out. The whole family was so scared that we looked for another hotel," Ms. Hoang added.
On social media, some people also marked themselves as "safe" during the earthquake in Bangkok at noon on March 28. Mr. Minh Tran (living in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) said that he was on a business trip to Thailand and experienced anxious moments because of the earthquake in Bangkok. The subway was closed immediately after the earthquake, and traffic jams were terrible in the capital area.

"By this morning, the train was running again. There was also chaos for a short time during and after the earthquake. After that, everything calmed down," said Mr. Tran.
Speaking to reporters from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, several travel companies said that all groups of tourists traveling to Thailand are safe. Mr. Tran Thanh Vu, Director of Vinagroup Travel Company, said that the company has 2 groups of about 60 tourists traveling to Bangkok. When the earthquake occurred, the tourists were worried, but so far they are all safe and their schedules have not been affected.
"The company currently has 2 groups of about 70 Vietnamese tourists traveling to Thailand but they are in Pattaya so the tour is not affected. However, Vietluxtour and its partners are still closely monitoring the tour situation of the groups and the actual destinations in the itinerary to have timely and appropriate directions, ensuring the safety of tourists is the most important thing" - Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu, Communications Director, Vietluxtour Travel Company said.
