Currently, pepper prices have fallen below 160,000 VND/kg; the average pepper purchase price in key areas is 158,400 VND/kg.
Specifically, pepper prices today in Gia Lai province continued to decrease sharply after many previous increases, down 2,000 VND/kg, currently pepper is purchased at 157,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province also decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently the pepper purchase price in this locality is 158,000 VND/kg; pepper price in Binh Phuoc province continued to decrease, decreasing by 2,000 VND/kg, currently the pepper purchase price is 157,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong remain stable and high, currently pepper prices in the two localities are at 160,000 VND/kg.

According to statistics, after a series of consecutive days of increase since Tet At Ty, domestic pepper prices have been adjusted down for 3 consecutive days, currently the average pepper price in key areas is below 160,000 VND/kg.
However, the demand from the Chinese market for white pepper and peppercorns for extraction from the Indian market is quite good. Other markets such as the US and EU are also participating in buying black pepper with both long-term and spot orders.
Currently, local farmers are focusing on harvesting pepper. Most people are excited because pepper prices are high. This has motivated them to continue investing in and caring for pepper gardens, improving product quality. However, pepper productivity in some areas has decreased due to the impact of adverse weather.

Experts say pepper prices may continue to rise in the short term, especially if China, one of the largest customers of Vietnamese pepper, increases imports again. However, pepper prices may stagnate as supplies from the new harvest are gradually replenished.

According to forecasts, world pepper prices will continue to increase tomorrow, staying at a high level, but there will still be slight fluctuations between countries.
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) on the afternoon of February 14, 2025 as follows: the market is vibrant and increasing again. In particular, pepper prices in Brazil increased sharply, increasing by 100 USD/ton, in Indonesia increased slightly; other countries maintained stable levels and anchored at high levels.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,258 USD/ton (up 7 USD/ton); Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,019 USD/ton (up 9 USD/ton) compared to the previous trading session.
The Malaysian pepper market continues to remain stable and at a high level. Currently, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,000 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,600 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil continued to increase by 100 USD/ton compared to the previous trading session and remained at a fairly high level, currently purchasing at 6,800 USD/ton.
The export market for Vietnamese pepper continues to be stable and slightly decreasing. Specifically, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is currently at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,650 USD/ton; the price of white pepper is at 9,550 USD/ton.
