Propaganda against IUU fishing for fishermen on Con Co island

From April 13, 2024 to April 14, 2024, in Quang Tri, the Naval Region 3 Working Group coordinated with units led by Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Naval Region 3, to visit, encourage, give gifts, and exchange with the military, people and forces in Con Co island district, Quang Tri province; including Station 540 of Regiment 351, Naval Region 3.

At Con Co island district, the delegation held a flag-raising ceremony at the island district flagpole and offered incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs; visited and encouraged the military, people and forces living and working on the island district.

The Political Commissar of Naval Region 3 said: This is an activity of profound political and social significance, thereby arousing patriotism, sentiments, awareness and responsibility of localities, agencies, organizations and all classes of people in preserving and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; effectively implementing the strategy of socio-economic development, national defense and security of the country; affirming the integrity of national sovereignty at sea and promoting socialization and mobilizing all resources for the sea and islands.

The delegation presented national flags and gifts to fishing boats and fishermen in Con Co island district.

This trip continues to affirm the solidarity and close relationship between the army and the people; between the Command of Naval Region 3 and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, central and local press agencies, the army, people and forces on Con Co island district.

On this occasion, the delegation presented to the leaders, authorities, mass organizations, armed forces and people on the island district a total of more than 50 gifts, 37 boxes of necessities, daily necessities and 50 national flags worth more than 150 million VND.
