Groundbreaking ceremony for 1,500 billion VND road connecting to Long Thanh airport

Route 25B is 9.2km long from Nhon Trach district via National Highway 51 to Long Thanh airport.

On January 9, the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board broke ground on the project to upgrade Provincial Road 25B, from the center of Nhon Trach District to National Highway 51.

The provincial road 25B upgrade project is over 9.2km long, passing through Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts. The starting point is at Km 0+000 intersecting with National Highway 51 (Long Thanh district), the ending point is at Km 9+290 (center of Nhon Trach district).

The cross-section of the completed route is 80m, with a total investment of nearly VND1,500 billion. According to the plan, the project will be basically completed in 2025 and put into synchronous operation from 2026.

According to the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, Provincial Road 25B is an important route connecting to Long Thanh Airport. This route will promote investment efficiency for projects that have been and are being invested in, create new development space, exploit land use potential, and build a sustainable and modern urban system.

In the planning of Long Thanh airport project, two connecting routes T1 and T2 play a role in connecting the main traffic routes in the area with the airport. In which, route T1 will connect with National Highway 51 and two provincial roads 25B, 25C.

Then continue to connect with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway and Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City which are being invested in construction, creating more traffic connection directions for Long Thanh airport.

From there, it plays a role in connecting Long Thanh airport with Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the region. At the same time, it shares traffic pressure on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway and National Highway 51.

Current status of existing road 25B.

The project to upgrade Road 25B from Nhon Trach District Center to National Highway 51, Long Thanh District and Nhon Trach District, when completed and put into use, will contribute to local socio-economic development, share traffic volume for existing routes, and gradually complete the traffic planning of Dong Nai province.

Previously, in early January 2024, the People's Committee of Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai province) started construction of 3 traffic projects including phase 1 of road 25C (section 2), Ton Duc Thang street (road 25B) and extended Le Hong Phong street.

The total investment capital of the 3 projects is over 2,000 billion VND. When completed, it will connect important routes in the area such as Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City, the road to Phuoc An port and especially Long Thanh airport.
