On the morning of February 24, Dong Phu commune (Thanh Hoa city) held a conference to announce the Decision to recognize the commune as meeting the model new rural standards in 2024.

Immediately after achieving the advanced NTM standards in 2023, the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Phu commune are determined to continue to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, strive to build a model NTM commune; choosing education and training as the outstanding field. Up to now, both schools have achieved national standards level 2.
During the implementation process, Dong Phu commune always identified economic development and increasing people's income as the basic foundation. Accordingly, the commune has propagated and mobilized people to continue to transform the structure of crops and livestock; promote the development of industry, handicrafts, trade services, create jobs, and increase people's income. The locality has mobilized resources to invest in infrastructure. The total mobilized capital for building a model new rural area in Dong Phu commune reached over 840 billion VND. Of which, people contributed nearly 550 billion VND. The appearance of Dong Phu is increasingly prosperous, people's lives are improved and enhanced. In 2024, the average income per capita of the commune will reach 69.5 million VND. Currently, the commune has only 1 poor household receiving social protection. The political security situation, social order and safety are maintained.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Thanh Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee acknowledged and praised the proud achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Phu commune have achieved in the process of building a model new rural area. This is an honor and pride, a result of the solidarity, joint efforts and consensus of the Party Committee and people of Dong Phu. He believes that in the coming time, the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Phu commune will continue to unite, be creative, and strive to continue to achieve more outstanding achievements, building Dong Phu increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized, making an important contribution to the development of Thanh Hoa city.
At the ceremony, authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the leaders of Thanh Hoa City presented the Decision recognizing the commune as meeting the model new-style rural standards along with a bonus of 1 billion VND from the Provincial People's Committee and 500 million VND from the city to the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Phu commune.
