Dong Nai builds many resettlement areas for Dau Giay

TPO - The site clearance for the Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway Project is being carried out in a complete phase with a total land area of approximately 378 hectares. Localities where the project passes through are preparing investment projects to build resettlement areas for the people.

Acting Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc has just requested leaders of localities where the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway passes through (including Thong Nhat, Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc, Tan Phu districts) to prepare human resources as well as planning for resettlement areas to carry out site clearance for the project.

Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway will reduce the load on National Highway 20

According to the approval decision of the Ministry of Transport, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway is over 60km long. The starting point of the route is at the intersection with National Highway 1 connecting with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (Dau Giay town, Thong Nhat district); the end point is at Km60 + 243.83 (end of the intersection with National Highway 20), connecting with the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway (Phu Trung commune, Tan Phu district).

In phase 1, Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway has a limited scale of 4 lanes, no continuous emergency lane, and a roadbed width of 17m. In the completed phase, the route will have 4 lanes, a continuous emergency lane, a cross-section of 24m, and a design speed of 100km/h. On the route, there are 26 overpasses over level crossings, 4 bridges on intersection branches; 24 residential underpasses; 31km of service roads on both sides combined with residential underpasses and overpasses, ensuring traffic connection and limiting impacts on the lives of residents on both sides.

The project has a total investment of nearly 9 trillion VND, including capital mobilized by investors of nearly 7.7 trillion VND and State capital of 1.3 trillion VND. The Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project is investing in building a rest stop at Km40, with a scale of 3 hectares on each side. The cost of site clearance to build the rest stop is included in the total investment of the project. The project is expected to start construction at the end of 2024.

According to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway is a route that runs entirely within Dong Nai Province. Therefore, the locality will be responsible for site clearance for the project. For this project, site clearance is carried out in a complete phase with a total land area of approximately 378 hectares.

In the localities where the project passes through, site clearance and resettlement work is being carried out. Specifically, Thong Nhat district is implementing the construction of 3 resettlement areas. However, the project only passes through agricultural land and rubber plantation land, so there is no need to arrange resettlement for the people.

In Dinh Quan district, the number of households needing resettlement is very small, but the locality has proactively planned resettlement areas to serve the resettlement of people.

In Tan Phu district, to serve the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project passing through the area, the locality had to reclaim about 125 hectares of land with about 86 households affected. Of these, 60 households had to be resettled. In addition, Tan Phu district also had to resettle about 120 households belonging to the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project.

Currently, Tan Phu District People's Committee has assigned the District Investment Project Management Board to establish an investment project to build a 12-hectare resettlement area in Phu Binh commune to arrange resettlement for people.
