In the unusual cold rain of Quang Tri , Uncle Duong Van Hue's steps were still steady. He also wore a real soldier's outfit, clearly not suitable for a marathon.

But he still ran, even a full marathon. Throughout the 42.195km journey, despite the cold, slippery road, despite the obstacles encountered, the smile never left the lips of the 60-year-old soldier. With the national flag in hand, it was a smile of victory. A smile of triumph.

Tien Phong Marathon 2025 has ended with many aftertaste. There were things that made it difficult for the athletes, but after all, looking back at the journey in the unforgettable morning, everyone has the right to be proud of what they have experienced.

Uncle Duong Van Hue, a veteran at the border front, excitedly participated in Tien Phong Marathon 2025 dressed as a soldier of Uncle Ho's army.

“For me, there is nothing that can be called difficult,” said Uncle Hue. “In Quang Tri, every step is a tribute to the many heroes and martyrs who have fallen for the Fatherland, for the peace and unity that we are enjoying today. The soldiers of the past did not spare their blood and bones, so the little obstacles we encounter are nothing to us.”

Many athletes shared that thought with Uncle Hue. And everyone saw a forest of floppy hats moving in the cold, rainy night. Many of them, like Uncle Hue, wore the uniform of Uncle Ho's soldiers and held the national flag in their hands. They reenacted the footsteps of the previous generation who had put aside their own dreams, cut across Truong Son to save the country, and then lit up the dreams of future generations.

Many runners of Tien Phong Marathon 2025 carried the national flag, the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam and dressed like the liberation soldiers of the past on the running track.

As the night gradually receded, bright faces emerged. All of them turned Tien Phong Marathon 2025 into a great demonstration of national pride, love for the homeland, gratitude, and aspiration to build the future.

Once again, Tien Phong Marathon succeeded in fanning the flames of passion, spreading emotions and honoring traditional values ​​of the nation, while fostering spirit and nurturing the Vietnamese soul.

As always, each place Tien Phong Marathon passed through left behind immeasurable feelings. Similar to Ly Son, Gia Lai, Con Dao, Lai Chau and Phu Yen, the people of Quang Tri warmed the hearts of all athletes with their warmth and hospitality.

Since it was still dark, in the cold, Quang Tri people poured into the streets to cheer on the runners. There were generous people who created additional water stations along the running route, restaurant owners who did not charge runners after they finished running, and families who did not hesitate to give up their rooms, supporting free accommodation in conditions of lack of accommodation.

"Only Tien Phong Marathon can do that," said Uncle Hue, with the emotion of someone who fought in the people's protection, "a grain of salt bitten in half, a bowl of rice shared in half". After 66 years of history, the tournament has gone beyond the scope of pure sports, becoming an inspirational festival, arousing compatriots' love and promoting the strength of national solidarity.
