TPO - Toll stations on Highway 747A and Highway 747B in Binh Duong province are planning to relocate. In addition, the locality is researching and implementing the construction of many connecting roads, as a lever for socio-economic development.
On May 5, Tan Uyen city has just proposed to the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Binh Duong province to resolve toll stations on route DT.747A (section from Thai Hoa ward to Uyen Hung ward) and route DT.747B (section from Thay Tho pagoda to Ong Tiep bridge).
According to the leader of Tan Uyen city, the purchase of 3 toll stations on the above routes will support businesses and promote economic development.
In addition to the proposal to resolve toll stations, Tan Uyen city hopes that the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Binh Duong province will consider and allocate capital to implement the following projects: Upgrading and expanding DT.747A road (section from Thai Hoa to Uyen Hung) with a scale of 4 lanes, total roadbed width of 28m.
At the same time, upgrade and expand DT.747B road (section from Thay Tho pagoda to Ong Tiep bridge); upgrade and expand DT.742 road (section through Tan Uyen city) with a scale of 6 lanes, total roadbed width of 42m to meet the needs of developing the traffic network connecting with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4, Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway, section through Binh Duong province.

According to the leader of Tan Uyen city, the southern traffic system of the city connects with Thuan An city and Di An city through DT.747B, DT.743 and DH.401 road connecting with My Phuoc - Tan Van road, creating a vital traffic axis connecting Binh Duong province with Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
However, the DH.401 route (from the foot of Thanh Hoi bridge, Thai Hoa ward to the border of Thuan An city) has a very narrow road surface (7m, 2 lanes). Every year, Tan Uyen allocates funds for maintenance and patching, but due to the high traffic density, this road section is often damaged and degraded. In addition, during peak hours when students leave school, this route is often congested, locally congested and does not ensure traffic safety.
From there, Tan Uyen city proposed the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to consider allocating investment capital to build the project to upgrade and expand DH.401 road with a roadbed width of 20m (4 lanes) to relieve traffic pressure, ensure traffic safety, and connect traffic between branch roads with My Phuoc Tan Van traffic axis.

Regarding toll stations in Tan Uyen city, Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh - Director of the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province said that the Department has worked with the investor and agreed on a solution to the toll stations on DT.747A and DT.747B routes. According to Mr. Minh, the implementation process is facing some regulations so the plan has not been implemented yet. The Department will continue to work with the investor to propose a plan to stop collecting tolls in the near future.
The leader of the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province added that for projects to upgrade and expand roads in Tan Uyen city, the Department has advised to include them in the investment list for the period 2021 - 2025 in order of investment priority.
According to the leaders of Tan Uyen city, the current difficulty the locality is facing is the source of capital to implement road upgrading and expansion projects. Tan Uyen will research and review, if the auction of 16 land plots in the period of 2021 - 2025 is successful, it will generate revenue of over 10,000 billion VND for the city.
