On December 26, Ho Chi Minh City National University held its 2024 Annual Conference with many impressive results.

Accordingly, for the first time, the number of international publications of Ho Chi Minh City National University exceeded 3,000 articles, and continued to lead the country in the number of international publications. Of which, the number of international publications in the Scopus database category reached 3,168 articles.

For the first time, the work of developing new party members at Ho Chi Minh City National University exceeded the target by more than 143%.

Ho Chi Minh City National University also signed many cooperation programs on science and technology with localities, businesses, and international partners in priority areas; coordinated with ministries, branches, and localities to organize many scientific seminars and conferences on higher education, science and technology.

Ho Chi Minh City National University continues to affirm its international position, ranking in the top 901-950 of the best universities in the world, reaching 184th place among the best universities in Asia, up 36 places compared to 2023.

In 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam had a total of more than 136,000 registrations from 1,924 high schools in 60 provinces and cities across the country. The exam results were used by more than 100 universities and colleges nationwide for admission.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City National University's establishment and development (1995-2025), the President signed Decision No. 1168/QD-CTN dated November 6, 2024 to award the First Class Labor Medal to Ho Chi Minh City National University.
