Mr. Hung said that after many days of Tet holiday, the students have just returned to practice for a week now. "Before Tet, we organized for the students to practice for more than a month, the Tet holiday also interrupted the practice. The school has finalized the team to participate in the tournament and will go to Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) to play the qualifying round next week. I heard that in Nha Trang the weather is hot, the competition time is early, there is a match at 2 pm, so my teachers and students also try to practice at this time to get used to it," Mr. Hung shared.

According to Mr. Hung, the team currently has a list of 25 players who are students from many faculties, but the core is from the Faculty of Physical Education. Participating in the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament, the Tay Nguyen University team determined the goal of going deeper than the results of the first tournament last year, so the team gathered early and practiced seriously. The team also used half of the squad as "veterans" who had competed in the previous tournament and added many students with good technique and physical strength who were discovered in the school's recent amateur tournaments.

"We consider physical training for the players to be an important step if we want to go the long way and overcome many matches. However, the team must also combine familiarization and practice of simple, easy-to-implement tactics, and then practice coordinating more complex attack and defense situations," said Mr. Hung.
Lack of "blue team" to compete with
The coach of the Tay Nguyen University football team also said that although there has been progress, the team still has certain limitations, many players have not been able to 'read' the game, have not implemented tactics well in training, and have not had many friendly matches with other green teams to practice, discover more strengths and weaknesses to adjust... Currently, the team has only played 3 friendly matches with 3 teams and amateur clubs in the province.
During the break between the two practice matches, Coach Tran Van Hung commented and instructed the team on technique and tactics.
During the training session, Nguyen Quoc Trung, a fourth-year student and captain of the Tay Nguyen University football team, shared: "After passing the qualifying round and reaching the final round of the tournament for the first time last year, this time our school's football team is determined to achieve a better ranking. Student Na Than, a K'Ho ethnic, was excited to be participating in the upcoming tournament with his school's football team for the second time. This third-year student of the Faculty of Physical Education said that in the previous tournament he played as a midfielder, this time he will play as a striker, determined to score many goals for the team. "In this tournament, I also noticed that my school's football team has improved in terms of expertise compared to the previous tournament. But I heard that other teams are also very strong. Therefore, to beat the other team, I have to try harder and definitely play well and respect the other team," Na Than smiled brightly, then rushed onto the field to continue the practice match.
