Enterprises increase stock issuance to pay dividends and repay debts

A series of businesses have announced dividends in shares or issued new shares to raise capital for business operations, even to pay debts. For example, the Industrial and Transport Development Investment Joint Stock Company (stock code TCD) has just set the date to pay dividends in shares in 2021 and 2022, at a rate of 15% (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 15 new shares).

Previously, at the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the company's shareholders approved the plan to pay dividends in 2021 and 2022 in shares. At the same time, the company plans to issue shares under the employee stock option program (ESOP) with 1.6 million shares; it is expected to issue more than 282.6 million shares to existing shareholders at a ratio of 1:1 in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Regarding the plan to use capital raised from the issuance to existing shareholders, TCD plans to use VND700 billion to establish member companies, buy back shares, capital contributions or contribute capital to enterprises and the remaining VND2,126 billion will be used to restructure debts, pay off loans and principal, bank interest, due and early debts for units.

Meanwhile, Vinaconex 25 Joint Stock Company (stock code VCC) also approved the implementation of the plan to issue 12 million shares to existing shareholders to double its charter capital. The expected issuance time is in the third and fourth quarters of 2023. The total amount of money raised from the offering is expected to be VND 120 billion, which will be used to pay off credit contracts such as promissory notes due in 2023.

Similarly, Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (stock code HHV) has just set June 8 as the last registration date to receive dividends for 2022. Specifically, HHV will issue more than 21.5 million shares to pay dividends at a ratio of 100:7 (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 7 new shares). HHV said that all proceeds from the offering will be allocated to invest in projects such as Deo Ca Investment Joint Stock Company - investor of the Deo Ca road tunnel project; Bac Giang - Lang Son BOT Joint Stock Company - investor of the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway project and a part for the company's operations.

Or Nam Song Hau Petroleum Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (stock code PSH) has just announced the documents for the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled to take place on June 27. In addition to the contents such as the business plan, the company also asked for shareholders' opinions on the offering of more than 75.7 million individual shares to professional securities investors. The issuance ratio on charter capital is 60%. NSH Petro said that the entire amount of about VND 1,060 billion collected from the issuance will be used to serve the company's production and business activities...
