Investigation of animal list in Ta Dung National Park

The project aims to develop a plan to conserve groups of forest animals in Ta Dung National Park. The project is consulted by Xuan Mai Green Technology Trading Joint Stock Company.

The 90-day project, starting from November 5, 2024, aims to update the list of forest animals; assess the management status, causes of degradation and develop a conservation plan for vertebrate forest animals belonging to the following classes: mammals, birds, amphibians - reptiles and fish.

From 2011 to present, Ta Dung National Park has recorded 635 animal species belonging to 7 classes, of which the bird class has the largest number, with 229 species (36.06%); the forest snail class has the smallest number, with 19 species (2.99%). The fauna in Ta Dung National Park is typical of the South Central region, with many endemic species.
