Sharing with VietNamNet, Diep Lam Anh's manager said that the appeal hearing of the divorce case between the actress and her ex-husband took place at the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of July 5.

Some friends and relatives were present to support the actress. However, when they arrived at the court, the hearing was closed. Therefore, only Diep Lam Anh and her ex-husband attended, while the rest had to stay outside. Some media units that came to cover the proceedings were also not allowed inside.
“The appeal hearing lasted for more than an hour. The court then adjourned because both sides could not agree on child custody. Diep Lam Anh’s wish is to be able to take care of the two children because she believes no one can take better care of the children than their mother,” this person said.
Diep Lam Anh realizes that her economic situation is worse than her ex-husband's. However, she believes that her role as a mother will raise and educate her children carefully until they reach adulthood. On the other hand, the actress does not want to separate her children when they are still too young.
Although the wishes of both sides were opposite, Diep Lam Anh said the trial was smooth and not as tense as the first instance trial at the end of 2022. At this time, she hopes to discuss with her ex-husband to find the best solution.

Previously, the court of first instance also ruled that each person would raise one child. Specifically, Diep Lam Anh's ex-husband was given custody of the son while the actress raised the eldest daughter. However, both parties later appealed, wanting to gain custody of both children.
The noisy divorce and child-fighting scandal once made Diep Lam Anh depressed and stressed due to psychological effects. After a period of calm, she regained her spirit and returned to work. Currently, Diep Lam Anh is confident that she has enough health, finances and time to take care of herself, her family and especially her children.
"When the incident first happened, I was lost, not knowing how to move forward, how to take care of my child, what direction my work and career would take. Now, I am confident that I can move forward even without anyone by my side to support and care for me," said Diep Lam Anh.
In January 2022, Diep Lam Anh confirmed that she had separated from her husband and moved out after 2 years of living together. They went through 3 reconciliations regarding property division and child custody but were unsuccessful.
Diep Lam Anh said she does not ask her ex-husband for child support, but is willing to accept support from him with the aim of contributing to raising her two children better.
