According to the plan, from February 13 to 15, local police forces will organize the handover of soldiers to perform their People's Public Security service in 2025.
Regarding the selection of citizens to perform the People's Public Security service in 2025, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security, said that it has become a tradition that the beginning of spring every year is always the "enlistment" season, including the selection of citizens to perform military service and People's Public Security service.
The quality of citizens performing their duties as People's Public Security officers continues to improve.
According to Mr. Toan, strictly implementing the Prime Minister's decision, the Ministry of Public Security has allocated targets and directed and guided the police of units and localities to well organize the military recruitment work in 2025.
To date, the recruitment source has reached about 103% of the assigned target. The police force ensures both recruitment targets for men and women according to the Government's direction. The quality of citizens selected is generally higher than in previous years.
Notably, according to Mr. Toan, in 2025, the proportion of citizens with university and college degrees and party members registering to perform People's Public Security service will increase compared to previous years.
Of which, citizens with university degrees account for 10.7% of the total target, and those with college degrees account for 7.4%.
"This is a very encouraging figure, reflecting that the quality of citizens performing their duty to join the People's Public Security continues to improve.
This also affirms that the policy of building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security force is completely correct, both in line with the people's aspirations and meeting the requirements and tasks of ensuring security and order in the new situation.
Moreover, it also shows that the current generation of young people always fully perceive and demonstrate high responsibility for the task of building and protecting the Fatherland," he said.

The Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security said that citizens performing their duty as People's Public Security officers will be able to participate in training programs and plans of the Ministry of Public Security.
Citizens will be equipped with basic knowledge of politics, law, basic skills, regulations, military, martial arts of the People's Public Security...
Citizens participating in the service are also equipped with and apply professional knowledge according to the assigned field of tasks and work. They train their physical strength and awareness of compliance with regulations and discipline.
Participate in learning and extracurricular activities such as traditional education, practicing emergency situations, implementing combat plans, etc. to shape actions, practice habits and skills to be ready for combat.
After completing the training course, new soldiers will be assigned to police units and localities to perform tasks to participate in protecting security and order according to regulations.
Creating "outputs" that ensure the connection between vocational training and employment support

Along with training work, since 2023, the Minister of Public Security has issued and implemented a project on "Vocational training and job support for demobilized non-commissioned officers and conscripts of the People's Public Security from 2023 to 2030".
Vocational training facilities in the People's Public Security create conditions for accommodation and support training costs for non-commissioned officers of the People's Public Security after discharge. Ensure that training costs in the People's Public Security are lower than those of vocational training facilities outside the society.
Police units and localities build coordination mechanisms, create "outputs" to ensure the connection between vocational training and job support, creating opportunities for non-commissioned officers and conscripts of the People's Public Security to stabilize their lives after discharge.
Colonel Toan said that the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security always pay close attention, and every year assign leaders of the ministry to directly attend, encourage, and direct military handover ceremonies in localities.
