GĐXH - Calculating the time of pregnancy and childbirth, he suspected that he had been "cuckolded" before the divorce.
Eight months after the divorce, a man named Tran in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (China) discovered that his ex-wife, Ms. Thang, had given birth to a child with her new husband.
Calculating the time of pregnancy and childbirth, Tran suspected that she had been "cuckolded" before the divorce, so she decided to sue Ms. Thang and her husband in court, demanding compensation of 700,000 NTD (about 523 million VND).
However, the court in Kaohsiung dismissed Mr. Tran's lawsuit based on evidence from pregnancy test results and birth certificates, determining that Ms. Thang's conception date was within 3 days of the divorce.
According to Mr. Tran, his 1-year marriage with Ms. Thang officially ended on September 12, 2020.
But after only 8 months, in May 2021, Ms. Thang gave birth to a child with her new husband. Therefore, he had every reason to doubt his wife's fidelity during their marriage.
Mr. Tran also asserted that Ms. Thang had an "extramarital affair" before the divorce and provided screenshots from Instagram as evidence.
Mr. Tran's mother also testified, saying that Ms. Thang brought the man surnamed Vuong home in August 2020 when her husband was away.
Defending herself in court, Ms. Thang said that the two had agreed to divorce on September 3, 2020, but because Mr. Tran deliberately delayed the process, they did not complete the divorce proceedings until September 12.
This woman affirmed that during the time she was Mr. Tran's wife, she did not have any extramarital relationships, nor did she violate Mr. Tran's spousal rights, and there was no reason to compensate.
The court relied on evidence from routine pregnancy check-ups, birth certificates, medical history and ultrasound results to calculate the date Ms. Thang conceived.
Based on that, they determined that Ms. Thang's conception could have been on September 15, 2020, when she and her ex-husband had been divorced for 3 days.
She also argued that the Instagram screenshot only had a hand-holding icon, making it difficult to conclude that she and Mr. Vuong had crossed the line.
Mr. Tran's mother's testimony also only showed that Mr. Vuong appeared only once and at this time, Vuong was dressed neatly, showing no signs of intimate interaction with Ms. Tran.
A few days ago, the case went to trial, and the court finally dismissed Tran's lawsuit.
Reasons why marriages fail
More like roommates than spouses
You and your spouse sleep together every night but other than that, you feel deeply empty.
When working with clients, psychologists often hear phrases like "we're like roommates" and "we don't have much in common."
The fact is that couples who fall into this situation often lose their emotional connection and do not know how to rekindle the flame of love.
Some may feel separated from their partner or uncomfortable being together.
Contempt
Contempt is perhaps the biggest sign that a relationship is doomed to fail because it makes an individual feel inadequate and unappreciated.
Contempt is often expressed through sarcastic, condescending language, hostility, or dismissive, dismissive attitudes.
Besides, it is also shown through actions and body language such as pouting, rolling eyes, waving hands.
Lack of trust
Trust is linked to the basic need for safety, consistency, and security in relationships.
If you or your partner were abandoned or betrayed in your adult years, it may be difficult to trust each other.
Manifestations of lack of trust include jealousy, control, manipulation, unrealistic expectations, and emotional or physical infidelity.
If trust issues are at play, you may have difficulty feeling empathy or trusting your partner.
Lack of independence
Some people cannot or do not want to spend time alone. They may feel that being alone is a sign that their partner no longer loves them and wants to leave them.
However, spending time alone is important for self-care, building independence, and fostering interdependence in relationships.
Communicate
Healthy communication is more than just talking to be heard. It involves active listening, pausing, reflecting, and empathizing.
When communication is limited or problematic, it can weaken the foundation of a relationship and make it more difficult to resolve any issues.
