Dream of becoming a police officer
Nam grew up in a family with two brothers, his parents were freelancers in Hanoi. Although no one in the family was in the police force, the image of a serious soldier in uniform became a dream, following the young man throughout his childhood and into adulthood.
In 2020, during the high school graduation exam to enter university, Nam hesitated before deciding to register for the entrance exam to police schools. "At that time, I was not really confident in my own abilities. The race to enter police schools is fierce competition, I was afraid of not passing so I had to put my dream on hold," said the 10X.
After that, the young man changed direction to take the entrance exam to the Diplomatic Academy, majoring in International Law with a total score of 26.25 in Math, Physics, and English.

However, at the end of 2024, when he learned that the Ministry of Public Security was recruiting citizens to perform military service, his childhood dream urged the young man to do something.
"At first I was quite worried because my family did not agree. However, after listening to my wishes, my parents completely supported me," Nam happily said.
With encouragement from his family, the 10X did not hesitate to write a volunteer application to join the army and eagerly awaited the day of departure. Although he knows that the upcoming time living in a military environment is full of hardships, challenges, and the sun and wind of the training ground, Nam is still optimistic and tells himself that he will try his best to overcome it.
"Participating in the military service is both a responsibility and a pride of every citizen. With all my spirit, youth and desire to contribute, I am ready to go on duty. This is an opportunity for me to mature, improve my knowledge and skills, as well as my physical strength so that I can devote myself to the Fatherland," the 10X confided.
The young rookie confided that joining the military service is also the beginning of a new journey, so that he can strive to stay and work and contribute to the police force.
On February 13, Nam will leave to perform his duty as a public security officer. Eagerly awaiting the day he can don his military uniform and perform his sacred duty to the Fatherland, the young man does not forget to remember his father's advice before leaving for the army: "Your youth will be truly beautiful and memorable when you live and train in a public security environment. Take care of your health, cultivate your morality and excellently complete all your duties to the Fatherland. I hope you will realize your dream of becoming a professional public security officer."
