In a document sent to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) requested the Department to direct medical facilities in the area to focus resources on actively treating patients, and if necessary, request support for professional consultation with higher-level hospitals.
The Food Safety Department also proposed to temporarily suspend the facility suspected of causing food poisoning and organize an investigation to determine the cause of the food poisoning according to regulations.
Relevant units take food samples and specimens and promptly transfer them to the nearest designated testing unit for testing, determine the cause and make the results public.

On March 13, hospitals in Nha Trang City admitted 60 people with symptoms of vomiting, fever, and abdominal pain. According to the patients, these symptoms appeared after eating at Tram Anh Chicken Rice restaurant.
On the same day, the Department of Health directed medical facilities in the province to be ready to receive and admit patients, and not to delay emergency care for patients.
According to the report of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Health, by the end of March 14, the total number of suspected cases of food poisoning after eating chicken rice at Tram Anh restaurant was 222. Of these, 157 cases had to be hospitalized for treatment, 55 cases were examined and prescribed medicine to take home. By the end of March 14, there were still 155 cases being monitored and cared for in hospitals in Khanh Hoa.
Khanh Hoa Department of Health leaders also stated that by the end of March 14, all suspected poisoning patients being treated had stable vital signs and were conscious.
A few patients with symptoms of nausea and loose stools were transferred to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for treatment. In general, the cases were under the professional control of medical facilities in Khanh Hoa.
