DNVN - Ericsson and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) have just announced a strategic cooperation agreement to equip Vietnamese students with the necessary skills and knowledge to participate in and accelerate the national digital transformation process with 5G technology as well as other advanced digital technologies.
Under the partnership, Ericsson will provide PTIT students with the Ericsson Educate digital learning platform, providing access to a wide range of learning resources. Ericsson will also collaborate with PTIT on research in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, and provide students with work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities such as projects and internships.
In addition, Ericsson will support the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in skills enhancement initiatives, preparing for the nationwide deployment of 5G.
Ericsson Educate is a comprehensive digital skills portal, providing foundational knowledge in key technology areas such as 5G, AI, Machine Learning, Automation, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Data Science, IoT and Telecommunications. By integrating content from the Ericsson Educate platform, students and professionals at PTIT have access to high-quality digital learning resources, leveraging Ericsson’s extensive expertise in telecommunications and information and communications technology (ICT).
This is the second time Ericsson has officially partnered with an educational institution in Vietnam under the 'Ericsson Educate' program, demonstrating the company's strong commitment to accompanying Vietnam on its digital transformation journey. With the goal of becoming a digital economy, improving students' skills in 5G and advanced technologies will help Vietnam fully exploit the potential of 5G, promoting the national digitalization process.
Ms. Rita Mokbel, Director of Ericsson Vietnam shared: "The cooperation between Ericsson and PTIT is an important step forward in developing a highly skilled workforce, which is a key factor in Vietnam's digital transformation process. Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT shared: “The partnership with Ericsson will help our students access knowledge about advanced technologies such as 5G, AI, automation, Machine Learning and many other fields, as well as receive practical experience and understanding in the industry. This will help them effectively utilize these technologies as soon as they join the workforce, contributing to promoting the country on the journey towards a digital economy."
