Former Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee becomes lecturer at Hanoi National University

The Principal of the School of Business and Management HSB under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi has recently signed a decision to accept Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and former Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh Province. According to this decision, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky's job position is as a lecturer at the Faculty of Management.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, former Provincial Party Secretary, became a lecturer at HSB School of Business and Administration, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky will receive salary and allowances according to school regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky studied for a master's degree in Non-traditional Security Management and then a doctorate in Management and Sustainable Development at the HSB School of Management and Business, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky (born in 1972) held the position of Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 14th and 15th terms; and concurrently held the position of Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council for the 13th and 14th terms.

The Minister of Education and Training has just issued a decision to transfer and appoint Professor Nguyen Tien Thao to hold the position of Director of the Department of Higher Education.

Professor Nguyen Tien Thao holds the position of Director of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the decision of the Minister of Education and Training, Professor Nguyen Tien Thao will hold the position of Director of the Department of Higher Education for 5 years.

Previously, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao was Deputy Director of the Institute of Digital Training and Testing, Hanoi National University. Before that, he was Director of the Hanoi National University Testing Center (HSA).

Mr. Nguyen Tien Thao has also held many management positions such as Deputy Head of the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Science - Vietnam National University, Hanoi from 2013 to 2015; Deputy Head of Training Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao (born in 1977) was awarded the title of professor in 2015. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 1999 from the University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He then completed his doctoral program at Laval University, Canada, majoring in Chemical Engineering in 2007. In the next phase, he continued his postdoctoral research at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GaTech), USA from 2008 to 2010.
