According to information from Phu Quoc International Airport, from the end of October to the end of November, Phu Quoc airport welcomed charter flights from World2fly airline with 432 passengers from the Czech Republic and another flight with 285 passengers from Slovakia.
Phu Quoc is increasingly attracting more international tourists to "winter"
Currently, many foreign partners have contacted to book tours and send itineraries to welcome guests to visit and relax on the "pearl island". Most of the guests come from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and countries in Northern Europe, North America, Central Asia, etc.
From December 2024, Air Astana will also launch a new route, departing from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Phu Quoc with a frequency of 2 times/week, then increasing to 4 times/week.

According to the Department of Tourism of Kien Giang province, in the first 9 months of 2024, Phu Quoc is estimated to welcome nearly 724,000 international visitors, exceeding the annual plan by 8.6%.
Phu Quoc is always rated by tourists and international media as one of the islands with the most beautiful beaches in the world.
International visitors to Phu Quoc come from more than 150 countries and territories, with many direct international flights such as: Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Shanghai (China), Mongolia, Kazakhstan and charter flights from Greece, UAE, Singapore, Uzbekistan, India, Russia, Cambodia, Japan... Of which, Korea has the largest number of visitors to Phu Quoc, followed by Taiwan (China) and Hong Kong (China)...

Mr. Tran Minh Khoa, Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee, said that the locality is focusing on investing in tourism infrastructure, coordinating with relevant units and airlines to promote the exploitation of new international routes, improving the quality of tourist services. At the same time, expanding connections, cooperation, promoting tourism with new domestic and foreign partners; proposing mechanisms and policies to support tourism businesses, contributing to attracting more and more tourists to Phu Quoc.
According to Mr. Bui Quoc Thai, Director of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism, the reason why Phu Quoc has been chosen by many international tourists recently is because it is considered by international media as an ideal destination for MICE tourism (tourism combined with conferences) with many diverse experiences and high-class infrastructure. In particular, the Southern area of Phu Quoc Island has surpassed many other big names in the region such as Phuket (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia) to win the award of the second most beautiful island in the world (after Maldives) in the framework of The World's Best Awards 2024 by Travel + Leisure.
"In addition to the above reasons, Phu Quoc is currently the only destination in Vietnam with a special visa policy for foreigners and Vietnamese people holding foreign passports. Specifically, entry, exit, and residence on Phu Quoc Island are visa-free, with a temporary stay of up to 30 days. This visa exemption policy helps simplify procedures for MICE groups that often have a large number of participants, attracting more international flights to Phu Quoc," said Mr. Thai.
