The family of Mr. Ly Trong Kinh, Ta Chai village, Ban May commune is a poor household with especially difficult circumstances that is under the responsibility of the District Youth Union. In addition to lacking land for production, the whole family used to live in a dilapidated, leaky house that was at risk of collapsing during the rainy season. Thanks to the attention of the local government and the help of the Youth Union members in the form of working days, the family's new sturdy house was soon completed. Mr. Kinh emotionally shared: "Thank you to the Party, the authorities at all levels and the Youth Union members for helping my family rebuild a new house to have a safe place to live. This is a great source of encouragement that helps us overcome difficulties, stabilize our livelihoods, and strive to escape poverty."
From 2024 to present, Hoang Su Phi District Youth Union has proactively and creatively organized volunteer programs to arouse the vanguard spirit of young union members in social security work. Many youth projects and tasks have been implemented such as: "Volunteering to build new rural areas and Green Sunday"; organizing the peak period of "Youth Month"; "Winter Volunteer"; "Spring Volunteer"; "Volunteer Saturday Campaign"; "March Border Month". With the motto "for everyone, living usefully for yourself, your family and society", the Youth Unions of communes and towns have also mobilized to help people build barns, renovate mixed gardens, make fences, clean up the environment... with thousands of young union members participating. Especially when natural disasters occur, the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union directs grassroots Youth Unions to establish "Youth Volunteer Shock Teams" to coordinate with functional forces to quickly overcome the consequences. Those practical actions affirm the role and responsibility of the Youth Union members in the district towards the community. In the coming time, the Youth Union at all levels will focus on mobilizing social resources from Youth Union bases and volunteer clubs to spread volunteer activities for social security more strongly.
