This afternoon (December 26), the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport held a conference to summarize 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025.
Effectively implement assigned political tasks
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quang Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies, praised the achievements of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport in the past year.
According to Mr. Truong, the workload of the transport sector last year and in the coming year is very large with many projects such as high-speed railway, North-South expressway, Long Thanh International Airport... The Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport has closely coordinated with the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Transport to lead and direct the entire sector to successfully complete assigned political tasks.

In the work of Party building, Mr. Truong highly appreciated the activities of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport, the Party Committee Executive Board has directed and fully implemented the policies and Resolutions of the Central Committee. At the same time, he fully participated in the activities of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies.
In the coming time, Mr. Truong suggested that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport should closely coordinate with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Construction to direct the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently".
Previously, reporting at the conference, Mr. Dao Van Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport, informed that in 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry closely coordinated with the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry to lead and coordinate the leadership of Party committees at all levels, affiliated Party organizations, agencies and units on the basis of functions, tasks, and working relationships of the Party committees with heads of agencies and units to focus on deploying and effectively organizing the implementation of the working directions and political tasks of the Ministry of Transport and the Party Committee of the Ministry in 2024.
Focus on leading and promptly directing the dissemination, dissemination, propaganda and implementation of resolutions, conclusions and regulations of the Central Committee, Politburo, Secretariat and higher-level Party committees.
At the same time, develop and issue leadership documents and direct tasks on Party building work to be implemented from the beginning of 2024. Strengthen the work of grasping the ideological situation and public opinion; especially summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on streamlining the political system's apparatus to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.
The Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport awarded certificates of merit to Party organizations and Party members with achievements in 2024.
The Party Committee of the Ministry also issued plans and guidelines on organizing Party congresses at all levels and establishing Party Congress Subcommittees of the Ministry according to regulations. Implementing contents on inspection and supervision work according to the 2024 program.

Continue to lead and direct with focus and key points
Assessing the year 2025 as having special significance, being the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress with the era of national development, but Party Secretary and Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan said that the world and regional situation is forecast to continue to be complicated and unpredictable.

The implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, the organization and apparatus arrangement of agencies and units to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently inevitably affect the thinking of cadres, party members, civil servants and workers.
In that context, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan emphasized that the Party Committee of the Ministry continues to innovate the content and methods of leadership with focus and key points, and well perform political tasks and Party building work.
The context also requires each party organization to thoroughly grasp and propagate to each cadre and party member to grasp, deeply understand, and effectively implement the assigned tasks, work, and solutions, launch emulation movements, and focus on implementing tasks right from the first days and months of 2025.
In particular, focus on leading and directing the good implementation of 3 key task groups.
Firstly, focus on and resolutely lead and direct the arrangement and consolidation of the organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport and its agencies and units to ensure streamlining, reducing focal points, improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations in accordance with the Central's policies, the direction of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister.
Lead and direct subordinate Party committees according to their functions and tasks to focus on effectively implementing the working directions and political tasks of the Ministry of Transport, the Party Committee of the Ministry and Party organizations, agencies and units in 2025 according to the set programs and plans, especially important and major tasks after the merger of the two Ministries and the establishment of a new Party Committee under the direction of the Central Committee and higher levels.
Second, leaders of Party committees and affiliated Party organizations continue to thoroughly grasp and implement directives, resolutions, regulations, conclusions, etc. of the Central Committee, the Party Committee of the Bloc, and Party committees at all levels.
The leaders organized propaganda for major holidays, anniversaries of important political events of the country, the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Transport Industry, the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country and the year of holding party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress with the era of national development.
Lead and direct the effective implementation of the plans of the Party Committee of the Ministry and Party committees at all levels on organizing Party congresses and Party cells according to the set plan and schedule.
After the congress, focus on developing and promulgating an action program to implement the congress resolution, working regulations of the Party Committee and Party Committee Inspection Committee; work programs, inspection and supervision programs for the entire term and annually of the Party Committee, Party Committee Inspection Committee and Party cells to ensure regulations and suitability with practical situations.
Third, strengthen inspection and supervision, especially regular supervision to serve party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; effectively implement directives and resolutions of the Party, the Ministry of Transport and the Party Committee of the Ministry on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; practice thrift and combat waste.
In the immediate future, from now until the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, in addition to leading the implementation of political tasks and Party building work, the Deputy Minister of Transport requires Party committees at all levels to focus on leading, directing, and implementing the arrangement and organization of a streamlined, efficient, effective, and efficient apparatus according to the direction of the Central Committee.
