Speaking at the conference, Party Secretary and Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan emphasized that in the first 6 months of 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry closely followed the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc, closely coordinated with the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry and the proposed programs and plans to concretize them through leadership documents, directing Party committees and subordinate Party organizations to comprehensively implement tasks on Party building work.
To effectively carry out the work in the last 6 months of 2024, Secretary Le Anh Tuan requested that Party committees and organizations at all levels closely follow the program and work plan of the Ministry of Transport and the leadership of the Party Committee of the Ministry to focus on implementing political and professional tasks, focusing on developing and perfecting documents detailing the implementation of the Road Law, the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order and a number of other decrees.

At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the management of transport activities, upgrade the infrastructure of ports, wharves, and stations serving passengers; coordinate with localities to ensure adequate means of transport to serve the safety and convenience of people's travel needs. Absolutely ensure aviation security and safety.
Continue to direct and urge the resolute implementation of transport infrastructure investment projects, especially important national and key projects of the transport sector, ensuring progress and quality; disbursement of public investment capital according to plan, effectively in all areas of the transport sector.
Focus on leading and directing the organization of studying, thoroughly grasping and implementing the directives, resolutions and regulations of the 13th Central Committee, the Party Executive Committee of the Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Bloc, especially Directive No. 35 of the 13th Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Implement the Plan to organize Party Congresses at all levels and the 20th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport, term 2025-2030. Guide the work of reviewing collectives and individuals and evaluating and classifying the quality of Party organizations, Party members and commendation work in 2024.

Reporting on the first 6 months of 2024, Mr. Dao Van Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport, said that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Party committees and organizations at all levels closely followed the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc and closely coordinated with the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry. The entire Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport focused on leading and directing the continued development and implementation of the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, ensuring the successful completion of political tasks and Party building work in the first 6 months of 2024.
Accordingly, it has promptly led and directed the dissemination, implementation, and propaganda of resolutions, conclusions, and regulations... of the Central Committee and the Party Committee of the Bloc.

However, Standing Deputy Secretary Dao Van Tien also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations: The results of leadership in implementing political tasks at some Party committees and organizations are still not high, not closely following the tasks of Party organizations, agencies and units.
The development of resolutions, plans, work programs, etc., and their implementation in some Party committees and organizations are still slow; the response and mobilization of cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to participate in the "Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2024" in some Party organizations are not effective. The work of managing Party members and grasping the political and ideological situation has received much attention in some places; some Party committees and organizations have not promptly supplemented and perfected Party committees, inspection committees, and reviewed and supplemented plans according to regulations.
The implementation of inspection and supervision tasks at some Party committees and inspection committees at grassroots levels is still formal, with low quality and efficiency, especially at Party cells.
Some party committees have not properly implemented the Notice of assignment and monitoring and the Regulations on work for full-time cadres and the reporting regime as prescribed.
