In recent days, the rainfall ranging from 50-120 mm in localities in Ninh Binh province has directly affected tourism activities. In this situation, the tourism industry has directed, urged, and coordinated with relevant levels, sectors, and units to strictly implement the security and safety of tourists during the rainy season.
On the morning of the 17th, the working group of the Department of Tourism visited a number of tourist areas and destinations in the province. After inspecting the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area, Trang An eco-tourism area and Van Long lagoon, Mr. Pham Duy Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism emphasized: In the coming time, the rain will continue, affecting travel in tourist areas and destinations, especially waterways passing through caves. The industry and tourist areas have a plan, if the caves are flooded, the direction will be adjusted, tours will not go through the caves, visitors will be advised to visit other places, and early warnings will be given to visitors before traveling to Ninh Binh.
According to the forecast of the Ninh Binh Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, Ninh Binh province will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain until the morning of July 18. It is known that on the same day, the Department of Tourism issued Document 952/SDL-QLD on ensuring security and safety for tourists during the rainy and stormy season. Accordingly, the Department requested the Management Board of tourist areas and spots of the province to strictly carry out inspections, reviews, warnings, and have plans to ensure safety for tourists when visiting tourist areas and spots, especially programs and tourist routes passing through caves, river and lake areas.
Install all regulations, signs, and danger signs in necessary areas and take appropriate measures to inform and enforce them to visitors. Arrange security and rescue forces and equipment in necessary areas to support visitors; post the unit's hotline number for visitors to contact in case of unexpected incidents.
It emphasizes that in case a tourist area or spot is affected by bad weather conditions and cannot ensure safety conditions for visitors, it must immediately stop organizing sightseeing activities and promptly notify visitors, travel companies, services, media and state tourism management agencies.
Strictly implement tourism laws and related laws; proactively inspect and upgrade facilities and service processes, supplement human resources, ensure security, safety and service quality for tourists.
