Job creation efforts
In 2024, Mr. Dinh Van Uc (Kruoi Chai village, Yang Bac commune) participated in a job fair organized by Yang Bac commune in coordination with the Provincial Employment Service Center. After that, he decided to study an automotive technology class at Gia Lai College.
He shared: “I see that the automotive technology market is growing strongly, has a good income and is considered to have potential in the future. Therefore, I chose to study this major. I have 1 more year to graduate from the course. I plan to apply for a job at auto repair shops in the province to improve my skills and earn more income.”
In 2021, Mr. Dinh Han (Bung Bang Hven village, Yang Bac commune) received vocational guidance from the locality and was given the opportunity to participate in a construction vocational training class organized by the district in coordination with Gia Lai College.
“During the course, the teachers taught very enthusiastically and in detail. Thanks to that, I mastered the construction techniques and easily applied them to real work. After finishing my studies, I joined the village construction team to construct projects inside and outside the district. Thanks to that, I have a stable job with an income of 6-8 million VND/month,” said Mr. Han.
According to Mr. Dinh Hoan - Head of Bung Bang Hven village: In recent years, many young people in the village have participated in career guidance sessions and actively registered for vocational training classes. After completing the classes, most of them have jobs and stable incomes.
Seeing us visit her house, Ms. La Thi Hue (Mong village, Ya Hoi commune) excitedly showed off her flock of more than 100 chickens. She said: Previously, she raised about 20 chickens but because she did not know how to take care of them, the chickens often got sick.
In July 2024, she boldly registered for a class on raising and preventing diseases for chickens organized by the Commune People's Committee. After 3 months of studying, she had mastered the knowledge of cleaning the barn, caring for and preventing diseases for chickens.
“Thanks to proper care, the chickens are growing well and are less susceptible to disease than before. I plan to sell the chickens for meat during the Lunar New Year 2025 to generate additional income for my family,” Ms. Hue shared.
Promote career guidance
Mr. Dinh Hvu - Vice Chairman of Yang Bac Commune People's Committee - said: "In 2024, the commune coordinated with the District Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Gia Lai College to open 2 agricultural and non-agricultural vocational training classes with 54 students participating. Most of the students after learning the profession knew how to apply it in practice, creating stable jobs, and increasing their family income".
Deputy Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Trinh Thi Thanh Hoa district informed: "In 2024, communes and towns coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize 10 job fairs attracting 1,583 participants.
Here, workers are counseled, given career guidance, provided with labor market information, and supported in finding jobs. Thereby, workers in the district, especially ethnic minorities, have the opportunity to grasp recruitment information from businesses and choose suitable jobs.
In 2024, Dak Po district coordinated with Gia Lai College to organize 12 agricultural and non-agricultural vocational training classes with 351 participants. Thanks to that, the rate of trained workers in the district reached 60.83%. Also in 2024, the whole district had 1,875 people with new jobs and self- employment , exceeding the plan by 25 people.
From the achieved results, by 2025, the district aims to increase the number of workers with new jobs and self-employment to 1,900 people and increase the rate of trained workers to 62.74%.
To achieve the set goals, the district continues to coordinate with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize local job fairs to help workers find suitable jobs. In addition, the district will also continue to coordinate with training institutions to organize vocational training courses to meet the needs of local workers.
