After 3 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development in Dak Nong province (2021 - 2023 period), the face of the countryside has changed significantly. The construction and development of infrastructure in the past 3 years has continued to be effectively carried out by all levels and localities in the province in terms of propaganda and mobilization so that people can understand and self-renovate, build clean and beautiful houses and campuses. Therefore, the number of temporary and dilapidated houses has been increasingly eliminated, replaced by solid and spacious houses, and people's lives have been improved.

Dak Nong province has achieved achievements in building new rural areas. The National Target Program on New Rural Area Construction for the 2021 - 2025 period has mobilized the active participation and response of the people. The entire socio-political system and the people in the area join hands and participate in implementing the program through specific actions and emulation movements such as: "Dak Nong joins hands to build new rural areas"; "Dak Nong youth joins hands to build new rural areas"; "Dak Nong women join hands and hearts to build new rural areas"; "Farmers of all ethnic groups in Dak Nong province join hands to build new rural areas"...

Through emulation movements, the majority of rural people have proactively and actively participated in implementing the program's contents; thereby contributing to the increasingly changing face of the countryside, people's lives have been gradually improved, political security has been maintained... People have also actively contributed money, working days, donated land, crops... along with the State's support capital to invest in the construction of essential infrastructure works such as: Roads, schools, cultural houses, medical stations, clean water... From the beginning of 2021 to present, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives, 4 individuals and 1 household for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Dak Nong joins hands to build new rural areas".

In the past time, the Provincial Office for Coordination of New Rural Construction; provincial departments, branches, sectors, unions and People's Committees of districts and Gia Nghia City have developed plans and organized training courses on the National Target Program on New Rural Construction and other related fields. At the same time, based on their functions and tasks, agencies and units have proactively organized training courses, implemented programs, and transferred science and technology in the fields of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas to contribute to promoting new rural construction.

The inspection and supervision work has been implemented by agencies and units from the provincial to grassroots levels, thereby advising, assisting, and removing difficulties and obstacles for localities in the process of implementing the program such as: The Provincial Office for Coordination of New Rural Construction has coordinated with departments, branches, and sectors to inspect and evaluate the implementation progress in communes striving to meet new rural standards and communes striving to meet standards according to the new set of criteria for the period 2021 - 2025; inspect and survey communes to include in the annual plan targets... Departments, branches, and sectors assigned to be in charge of new rural content and criteria have proactively conducted inspections, assessments, and grasped the grassroots. Districts and Gia Nghia City regularly inspect, monitor, and evaluate the implementation situation at the grassroots level to promptly guide and resolve difficulties during the implementation process.

Dak Nong province has 7 districts and 1 city. Gia Nghia is implementing new rural construction. Up to now, Gia Nghia city has been recognized by the Prime Minister as a city that has completed the task of building new rural areas in 2020 in Decision No. 472/QD-TTg dated April 18, 2022. Up to now, 36/60 communes have been recognized as meeting new rural standards, accounting for 60%; on average, each commune in the province has met 16.62 criteria; there are no more communes meeting less than 10 criteria. Of which, 36 communes have met 19 criteria, accounting for 60%; 5 communes have met 15-18 criteria, accounting for 8.4%; 19 communes have met 10-14 criteria, accounting for 31.6%... Dak Nong has 1 commune recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards.

The province has 110 hamlets, villages, and hamlets (abbreviated as hamlets) in 11 particularly disadvantaged communes applying the new rural village criteria. In recent years, all levels and sectors have focused on directing the effective implementation of planning, developing projects and plans for production development associated with restructuring the agricultural sector; building production development models associated with the consumption of local key products, thereby gradually improving the skills, knowledge, and experience of rural people in applying them to production development, contributing to increasing income for rural people.

The province currently has 222 agricultural cooperatives (19 new cooperatives have been established since the beginning of 2023). Agricultural cooperatives operate in a variety of fields such as: Cultivation, animal husbandry, provision of agricultural services, post-harvest services, irrigation, etc. The Cooperative Unions were established to organize centralized input and output services for member cooperatives, in line with the trend of linking production and business and creating a combined strength, competitive enough in the market economy, aiming at refining products and directly exporting goods, creating a value chain of agricultural products, bringing greater benefits to members and workers.

The One Commune One Product Program has been of interest to all levels and sectors, and is identified as a key task in implementing rural economic development and commodity production development to contribute to the construction of new rural areas; integrating implementation activities according to the functions of the sector and management fields, associated with the activities of the Program. Therefore, it has focused on improving the quality and output of OCOP products, meeting the increasing demands of the market, and building a number of products that meet national brand standards.

Up to now, the whole province has 60 OCOP products recognized by 53 enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, farms, and production facilities, of which: 7 products have achieved 4 stars, 53 products have achieved 3 stars according to the National OCOP Criteria. 2 4-star products were evaluated and scored over 90 points by the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council, and submitted to the Central Government for consideration and evaluation of 5 stars. In addition, support has been provided to bring OCOP products to e-commerce platforms (15 products to Shopee; 47 products to Voso.vn; 25 products to create booths on Postmart and 22 products to Sanocop.vn...).

In general, the work of developing production to increase income has been paid attention to and implemented by all levels, sectors and localities. More and more production development models bring high income, cooperatives and cooperative groups are established more and more and operate more effectively, gradually solving employment and increasing income for people in rural areas. In addition, vulnerable groups of society such as: People with disabilities, the elderly, single-parent households, orphans, poor households with people who have contributed to the revolution... regularly benefit from care and support policies to overcome difficulties...

This has basically solved the difficulties of the poor, created conditions for the poor to rise up to escape poverty, contributing to achieving the criteria for poor households. The above achievements are the premise for Dak Nong to complete the goals and tasks of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021 - 2025 and the following years.
