Examples include the dismantling of Chu Ba Chung and his accomplices' drug trafficking ring and the illegal transportation of drugs, seizing more than 94.9 kg of synthetic drugs. Or the dismantling of a drug trafficking case by Le Huynh Minh Khoa and his accomplices, seizing more than 3.4 kg of various synthetic drugs.

Especially the VN10 case (related to female flight attendants that caused a stir in public opinion). Up to now, related to this case, the authorities have prosecuted a total of 187 cases with more than 500 defendants, administratively sanctioned 86 subjects, seized more than 156 kg of various synthetic drugs, 10 guns, 1 grenade...

In all of those major drug cases that were discovered and destroyed, Senior Lieutenant Chien participated. He and his teammates continuously brought back many achievements, determined not to let drug criminals run rampant.

According to Senior Lieutenant Chien, most of the defendants in the above cases, as well as those investigated by PC04, Ho Chi Minh City Police, are facing the highest penalty of death. Therefore, during the process of working with the investigation agency, the subjects always have a rebellious mindset, are stubborn, and do not confess honestly. This causes difficulties in the investigation and expansion of the case. "However, if we try hard, justice will always triumph over evil," Senior Lieutenant Chien concluded.

Lieutenant Chien said he personally investigated many cases, so he has many unforgettable memories.

For example, the raid on Tran Van Hai (also known as Hai Cu Cai) and his accomplices illegally transporting drugs, seizing more than 104.2 kg of synthetic drugs in mid-2022. At the time of his initial arrest, Hai did not admit to his crime. However, after consolidating documents and evidence, PC04, Ho Chi Minh City Police prosecuted Hai and his accomplices for illegally transporting drugs.

"During the first interrogation, I did not have high expectations for the conversation with Hai, only delivering the procedural decisions in accordance with the law. However, before starting to work, I had carefully researched the personal background and background of the subjects, so I knew that Hai had 10 previous criminal records. When talking, I recalled Hai's previous crimes. I pointed out the reasons why Hai committed those crimes. I also asked about Hai's health, because I knew that during the previous trial, Hai had suffered a stroke. I also asked about Hai's circumstances and family members...", Lieutenant Chien recalled.

He continued: "And the unexpected happened. While working, Hai burst into tears, left his chair, knelt down on the ground, clasped his hands and bowed to me. Hai shared that he had worked on many cases before but had never met an investigator as affectionate as when working with me. At that moment, I was also moved and surprised. But I quickly calmed down and encouraged Hai to return to his position. And I felt that this was a "golden opportunity" to work on issues related to the case. After that, Hai admitted to all his crimes"...

"Are you going to work tomorrow?"

Lieutenant Chien said that throughout the past time, Ho Chi Minh City Police have been fighting fiercely against drug crimes. And the VN10 project is a strong declaration of war by Ho Chi Minh City Police against drug crimes in the city in particular and other neighboring provinces and cities in general.

"I am a young investigator so I am always aware of my responsibilities. I always have to try hard to keep up with the pace of work set by the projects. For the past year, almost every Saturday and Sunday I have gone to the office to work overtime. Every Friday night, the question my wife asks most often is "Are you going to work tomorrow?" I usually answer "yes". After hearing that, my wife felt a little sad. But my wife also shared and joked: "When will Dad have a weekend?", Lieutenant Chien said emotionally.

"When I'm at home, only my wife and children are happy. When I go to work, I can contribute more to society. I try my best and also encourage my family. Luckily, my family shares and understands," Senior Lieutenant Chien confided.

Ms. Bui Thi Le Ha, wife of Senior Lieutenant Chien, shared: "The nature of my husband's job is quite difficult and dangerous, so my family and I are very worried every time he goes on a business trip. Because there are many drug crimes, as well as the possibility of being reckless. But society needs people who make silent sacrifices like him, so my family and I always support him."
