On the morning of June 14, the People's Committee of Nhu Xuan district organized the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Nhu Xuan district in 2024.

Attending the congress were comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, representatives of leaders of a number of provincial and district-level departments, agencies and 120 official delegates representing more than 47,000 ethnic minorities in the district.

Nhu Xuan district has 4 main ethnic groups: Thai, Tho, Muong and Kinh, of which ethnic minorities account for 66.2%. In recent years, the Party Committee, government and ethnic minorities of the district have promoted the tradition of solidarity, strived to compete, strived, overcome difficulties and challenges, and achieved important results. The economy has grown quite well; the growth rate reached 4.2%, ranking 4th out of 11 mountainous districts. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction; socio-economic infrastructure has received investment attention, the appearance of rural and urban areas has changed a lot; State budget collection, site clearance, disbursement of public investment capital, and poverty reduction have had positive changes. In 2018, Nhu Xuan district escaped from being a poor district according to Resolution 30a of the Government. Up to now, the poverty rate of the district has dropped to 9.94%.

The great national unity bloc has been consolidated, the people's trust in the Party, the State, the Party Committees and the authorities has been increasingly enhanced...

At the congress, delegates contributed many enthusiastic and responsible opinions, proposing many solutions to strengthen the great solidarity of ethnic groups; develop the socio-economy, ensure national defense and security... in the coming time.

Launch widely campaigns and patriotic emulation movements associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style to promote the will of self-reliance, self-improvement and development aspirations among all classes of people. Synchronously and effectively implement solutions to implement the ethnic work strategy for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2045 and ethnic policies to mobilize all resources for investment in socio-economic development in the area in the direction of focused, key and widespread investment.

Continue to promote the restructuring of crops and livestock towards commodities, appropriate scale, high value, efficiency, linked to the consumer market, brand building, geographical indications. Promote attracting investment in developing infrastructure of industrial clusters, linked to urban development; focus on developing industrial production in industrial clusters.

At the same time, pay more attention to cultural and social fields, ensuring social security. Proactively develop plans to ensure national defense and security, avoiding passivity and surprises. Strengthen the fight against crime and social evils; ensure traffic safety; focus on promptly and thoroughly resolving pressing and outstanding issues right at the grassroots level...
