Dong Thap University spends 2.95 billion VND to attract PhDs

In 2024, Dong Thap University will have 5 associate professors, 2 doctors and recruit 12 new doctors in various majors, and spend 2.95 billion VND to give to 19 associate professors and doctors to attract highly qualified human resources.

Specifically, in 2024, Dong Thap University will have 19 more associate professors and doctors. Of which, 5 doctors recognized as associate professors will receive financial support of 250 million VND/person; 2 doctors will receive support of 25 million VND/person to encourage masters to study for a doctorate.

In particular, the school also implements a policy of attracting and rewarding high-quality human resources. Recruiting 12 new PhDs, depending on the recruitment policy, the school provides support of 50 - 250 million VND/person.

The total amount awarded to associate professors and doctors in 2024 this time is 2.95 billion VND.

Associate Professor Dr. Ho Van Thong - Principal of Dong Thap University - said that in 2024 the school will have 5 more associate professors, bringing the total number of school staff with the title of associate professor to 18.

"This result is an important highlight in improving the quantity and quality of the teaching staff meeting the standards for the title of associate professor and promoting the school's professional development, ensuring scientific and quality standards," said Mr. Thong.

On this occasion, the school also paid tribute to Mr. Luong Thanh Tan - former acting principal of Dong Thap University - who retired after 41 years of work, and inaugurated a golden plaque honoring professors and associate professors of Dong Thap University.
