Provincial People's Council delegates meet voters in Vu Quang, Thach Ha

Issues related to granting land use right certificates, liquidation of works after merger, lack of clean water, payment of policies for meritorious people... were of concern to voters of Vu Quang, Thach Ha (Ha Tinh) and were recommended to the Provincial People's Council Delegation.

On the afternoon of November 14, at Huong Minh commune, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council elected in Vu Quang district had a meeting with voters of the communes: Huong Minh, Quang Tho, Tho Dien and Vu Quang town.

At the meeting, the representative of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council elected in Vu Quang district reported to voters on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in 2023 and the socio-economic development plan, national defense and security of the province in 2024; expected main contents of the regular session at the end of 2023, the 18th Provincial People's Council and some other contents.

At the meeting, voter Vu Quang proposed that all levels need to have a plan to invest in building a solid Cho Quanh bridge across the Ngan Truoi River, connecting Huong Minh, Quang Tho and Duc Huong communes to facilitate people's travel, trade and develop the economy in the region; and soon issue land use right certificates to people in the Hoi Trung resettlement area (Quang Tho commune).

Voters also requested that authorities consider allowing Quang Tho commune to auction the remaining residential land lots in the Hoi Trung resettlement area; there are some abandoned constructions after the merger, and requested that there be a policy for the locality to liquidate these constructions to avoid waste.

Voter Nguyen Xuan Toan - Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Huong Minh commune petitioned about the situation of riverbank erosion in the area.

Some voters also reported that, after the floods, many serious landslides appeared on both banks of the Ngan Truoi River, passing through Huong Minh and Quang Tho communes. Therefore, they suggested that the district and province should survey and have a plan to build embankments to prevent riverbank landslides, ensuring safety for local residents.

Deputy Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Tuan received and explained issues of concern to voters.

On behalf of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council elected in Vu Quang district, Deputy Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Tuan acknowledged the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of the voters; at the same time, clarified and explained some contents that the voters were interested in. The delegation will receive, synthesize, classify, submit recommendations and proposals under the authority of the Provincial People's Council to the upcoming session and send them to the relevant levels and sectors for consideration and handling according to their authority.

On the afternoon of November 14, at Thach Tri commune, the delegation of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council elected in Thach Ha district had a meeting with voters of Thach Tri, Thach Van, Thach Hoi, Thach Thang, and Tuong Son communes.

Accordingly, voters requested that authorities at all levels pay attention to resolving difficulties in procedures for granting land use right certificates for land granted before 1980. Regarding the fields of agriculture and new rural construction, voters recommended that leaders of authorities at all levels pay attention to planning key crop areas to increase the value of agricultural production; resolutely handle violations when using herbicides that cause environmental pollution; pay attention to allocating funding sources to repair the canal system to serve production in localities. Mr. Ho Thai Thuong - voter of Thach Van commune proposed contents related to the field of education.

In addition, issues related to payment of benefits to meritorious people, resolving outstanding issues in each locality, paying attention to investing in inter-commune roads, supporting school repairs, recruiting teachers... were also recommended and proposed by voters at the conference.

At the conference, representatives of Thach Ha district leaders also answered and clarified some contents of voters' petitions within their authority.
