Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 will take place from August 31 to September 4 with the theme "Returning to the green water area" with many special activities to welcome people and tourists.
The street music program is one of the new features of Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week this year.
During the Tourism Week, many cultural and tourism activities will take place to introduce the unique culture of Thanh Thuy, promote tourism potential, attract investment, contribute to stimulating demand, developing tourism, and at the same time launch the Thanh Thuy tourism season in 2024. This is an annual activity and also an opportunity for state management agencies and tourism businesses to introduce and promote the potentials, advantages, and tourism products of Thanh Thuy, expand the market, build joint ventures, trade exchanges, and exchange experiences in tourism development.
In particular, this year's Tourism Week also aims to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere among all classes of people on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of the district (September 1, 1999 - September 1, 2024); to recognize and honor the contributions of the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the district to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
Comrade Vu Duc Kien - Head of the District Department of Culture and Information said: The new feature during the Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 is the Street Festival Program including the following contents: Mass cultural exchange in the evenings from September 1-3 at the "Street Music" stage, interspersed with booths; organizing a walking space associated with trade and services. Each commune, town and a number of tourism service businesses in the district will build a booth to display, introduce and sell tourism products, products, agricultural products, and typical cuisine of the unit. In the walking space, there will be a total of 40 booths displaying, introducing and selling OCOP products, regional specialties from August 31 to September 4 on both sides of the dual carriageway opposite the gate of the Ngoc Xanh Island Tourist Area.
The opening ceremony, the welcoming art program with special performances by professional singers and actors and light art performances using drones will take place from 8:00 p.m. on August 31 at the beginning of the dual carriageway opposite the gate of the Ngoc Xanh Island Tourist Area. In response to the Tourism Week, from August 20-30, football tournaments of clubs will also be held at Thanh Thuy District Stadium. Many art activities at tourist areas and spots in the district will also take place from August 31 to September 4.
To prepare for the Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week - Autumn 2024, the district has established an Organizing Committee, assigned specific tasks to relevant agencies and units, and actively directed the preparation of necessary conditions to ensure a solemn event, creating a good effect for tourism development.
Thanh Thuy has the potential to develop tourism, a place with a rich history and culture, and at the same time possesses diverse and unique natural resources. Through the Tourism Week, the scenic spots, history, culture as well as the image and people of Thanh Thuy will be widely promoted so that Thanh Thuy is better known, attracting many investors willing to join hands in developing tourism in the district.
