Da Nang will auction Chi Lang stadium

(NLDO) - After clearing the site, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Da Nang City will organize an auction of Chi Lang Stadium - the asset in the Pham Cong Danh case.

On January 9, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang City reported on the progress of handling Chi Lang Stadium and assets related to the Pham Cong Danh case.

Accordingly, after completing site clearance, Chi Lang Stadium will be auctioned in its entirety for the purpose of commercial land use.

As of December 20, 2024, Hai Chau District People's Committee is carrying out work to complete site clearance for the remaining 6 files.

The Department of Construction of Da Nang City has reported to the City People's Committee on the plan to locally adjust the planning of the Chi Lang Stadium Commercial and Service Complex from sports land to commercial business land.

After completing the above procedures, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Da Nang City will organize an auction according to the plan agreed upon by the Prime Minister and enforce the judgment according to regulations.

Previously, during a meeting with city voters, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, said that the city is responsible for adjusting Chi Lang Stadium, not keeping its function for sports activities but converting it to commercial service land. This is to ensure that the land is consistent with the property when mortgaged to the bank.

At the same time, the Politburo and the Government allowed Da Nang to auction the entire Chi Lang stadium, without dividing it into smaller parts according to the issued certificates.

It is expected that after the auction, the ratios will be divided according to the value of the collateral.

Chi Lang Stadium has an area of ​​over 55,000m2, located in the center of Da Nang, surrounded by 4 routes Le Duan - Chi Lang - Ngo Gia Tu - Hung Vuong. In 2010, Da Nang City sold Chi Lang Stadium to Thien Thanh Group of Mr. Pham Cong Danh with the purpose of building a high-rise commercial and service complex.

In 2011, at the request of the investor, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a decision approving the boundary plan to change the land use purpose. The city has issued 10 land use certificates for this project.

Mr. Pham Cong Danh and Thien Thanh Group used the above 10 certificates as collateral to borrow money from the bank. Currently, Chi Lang Stadium is one of the assets seized to ensure execution of the judgment.
