Da Nang will have more international universities

This information was revealed by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, director of Danang University, at the 30th anniversary of the unit's establishment.

This is one of the important tasks that Danang University is implementing in the new development stage to be worthy of being a national key regional university, playing a crucial role in training high-quality human resources to serve the country.

Mr. Vu said that the unit will develop new member units in the near future, including an international university based on the development of the Vietnam - UK Research and Training Institute.

The important mission of the Vietnam - UK Research and Training Institute is to strongly develop English training programs to become a pioneer in implementing the policy of making English the second language, training generations of students with entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and global citizens.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Director of the Vietnam - UK Research and Training Institute (under the University of Danang), said that in the project to build the Danang University urban area in Hoa Quy - Dien Ngoc, there is the Vietnam - UK International University with a total floor area of ^{​​16,751m2} .

This project includes modern, spacious working, learning, practice and laboratory buildings on a 6.7-hectare campus.

The Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Training has also been invested in a modern, synchronous laboratory on materials science and biomedical technology at the Danang University Center for Experimentation and Concentrated Scientific Research with a value of over 50 billion VND.

These projects are urgently preparing to start construction. This is an extremely important opportunity and resource for the institute to create a breakthrough development in the fields of training, scientific research, international cooperation, building facilities and developing staff.

The Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Training was established in 2014. Over the past 10 years, the unit has established cooperative relationships with more than 50 leading universities and research institutes in the world, opening many doors to global connections through international cooperation programs.
