Da Nang: Striving to achieve double-digit growth target

Although still facing many difficulties and challenges, with great efforts and determination in implementing solutions, Da Nang's economy in the first quarter of this year has seen many improvements, creating momentum for the target of double-digit growth.

At the end of the first quarter of 2025, Da Nang was among the top 4 localities nationwide achieving double-digit growth, with GRDP increasing by 11.36% over the same period last year. The economic picture has many bright spots in all key areas, such as tourism, services, manufacturing and processing industry, information technology, etc. These results were reported to the Prime Minister at the recent Government-locality conference.

Notably, taking advantage of the opportunities opened up by Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; along with the solid support from the specific mechanisms and policies brought by Resolution 136 of the National Assembly, Da Nang has promoted core technology industries, especially microchips, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence, to create new momentum for the city's development.

In particular, in March, Da Nang also started a series of important projects, aiming to gradually materialize the strategic vision in developing the digital technology industry, such as the groundbreaking of the Da Nang Data Center Project in the High-Tech Park, the opening of the FPT High-Tech and Semiconductor R&D Center in Software Park No. 2, etc.

Currently, the City is also actively focusing on implementing the Central's Conclusions, Resolutions, Decrees, and Plans on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in inspection, examination, and judgment conclusions in Da Nang City, with the spirit of "faster, more drastic, and more responsible ", in order to contribute to unlocking resources and promoting the city's socio-economic development in the second quarter and the whole year of 2025./.
